If You Could Replace a Villain...

What are some villains you would have liked to see on Buffy? Or what are some older villains you would have liked to see come back and replace later ones?

And do you think you would have liked to see a villain in a different season than it was in?

I, personally, would have liked to see Buffy herself go bad. 😛

Same here. They did the rogue Slayer thing, but still... evil!Buffy would've been a trip.
I also wanted to see more of vamp!Xander, but they only brought vamp!Willow back 🙁

If they were gonna do Evil Cordy, I wish they would have scrapped the Jasmine arc and had her be the big bad and fight Angel herself in the season 4 finale. She could have been the Fallen Higher Being instead of Jasmine's boring ass. I also would have loved her do her manipulating with the gang directly instead of being stuck in a room and sending Connor to do her dirty work. Of course, she'd still turn good and come back in season 5 for You're Welcome. 🙂

Would have loved to have seen a Buffy vs Darla showdown. What we got in S1 was nothing compared to what S5 Buffy and S2 Darla could have been.

Go to the fan-fics, to page 10, have a quick read of When The Mirror Reflected Wrong.
Personally I would have liked to see a big bad like the Debt Collector. Not that far fetched considering they had good vampires.

Most interesting would have been Faith vs Buffy in reverse, with Buffy as the rogue slayer. Also Illyria on Buffy could've been interesting. As far as seeing one of the scoobs as a vampire I'd have to vote Xander.

I would have liked to see The Beast in Buffy. Maybe working for The First. Buffy could have fought him earlier in the season, and when she kicked his ass, Caleb was called in.

Illyria would demolish Buffy. That wouldn't even be a close fight. Angel, Spike, and Wes ambushed Illyria, and she still won. Buffy would be dead in seconds against Angel & Spike.

Swipe the whole "Spike had a little trip to the vet, and now he doesn't chase the other puppies anymore" storyline, have references to Spike and Dru having showed up somewhere every now and again through the seasons 4-6, then have them back at full force in the second half of S7 fighting on the side of the First.

Actually, I've always wanted a Batman vs. Buffy showdown.

I read a decent fanfic on that once, and it turned out the way I'd always imagined. Buffy was stronger, faster, and more resilient; but, in the end Batman won, because... HE'S BATMAN! Actually he won because of his unrivaled discipline, intellect, and equipment.

The fanfic had Buffy beating some other Batgirl (one I'd never heard of as I don't read the comics).

I wouldn't like to see evil Buffy...if they brought an evil Buffy from an alternate reality yes...but not Buffy turning evil in this show! I was really scared in s6...when I got to see Dead Things, I wasn't sure about how she would end up.

Glory vs Illyria, that would be interesting.

Buffy fighting the Beast it would be nice. Or both Faith and Buffy fighting the Beast. Or Buffy vs Angelus (season 4) and Faith vs the Beast(Faith being the one to figure out the way to kill it). Like a cooperation! Buffy s7 is really strong. She could bring the Scythe with her!!!

There was one in the '09 "Tales of the Vampires" one-shot ("The Thrill"), but she hasn't made the jump to S8. (yet?)

I think there also was one in one of the expanded universe novels, but I don't remember which it was anymore.

I'm actually quite surprised that was never touched upon in the series, it's such an interesting concept.

There's a Buffy book called Tempted Champions that has a slayer vampire as the big bad, I've also read a few fics that used ths same concept.

Looks like there is a long list of people who owe you money 😛
