I'm not sure selling puppies and kitties is legal, or at least it is without a licence.

But y'know, if I save it I own it, so their lives are mine! Bwahahahaha!!

Well, you don't have to harvest organs. You could just extort them legally by negotiating the price they'd be willing to pay to save their lives. Kinda like Big Pharma does.
