If you could, or can vote in the upcoming American Election for President, how would you or will you vote? Why?

I'd vote for Nader if he's running again this election, because he's the only one who cares about the little guy, and that's what I am.

Although I'd be tempted to vote for Bush, because even though he's the puppet of the rich, he's safe. I'd be willing to bet if Kerry gets in there will be a rash of attacks on the US to test him, just as there was when Carter got in.
 
If Nader is running, I'm voting for him as well. His thoughts are quite new and interesting, and I would much rather vote for him than the other two-they are just puppets of their respective political parties.
 
If I were American I'd vote for Kerry - he has the only chance of getting rid of Bush. That's what my head says😉 - if my heart was in charge I'd probably go for Nader from what I've read about him (consumer rights guy, isn't he?)
 
Ralph Nader is known primarily as a consumer's rights advocate.

He is running for election this year as a presidential canditate. He ran in 2000 as a Green Party canditate. This time, I believe he's an Independent.

Kerry's party doesn't like him, because they think he'll split vote of the left. The Bush boys hate him, because, well, they hate him.

His platform goes something like this:

* Universal health care

* Protection of ordinary citizens from corporate abuse

* Government accountability

* A responsible energy policy

* Do something for the nation's poor.

* A living wage for the working poor.

* Do something about rising gas prices

* Allow hemp as a renewable resource.

* Crack down on corporate crime, fraud and abuse.

* Withdraw troops from Irag

* More social, political, and economic rights for women

* Fair taxes
 
Looks interesting,but I'm just a stupid blonde..You can't really expect me to think bout the points you've just raised...
 
Bush is evil, no doubt about it, but sadly Kerry won't be much of a difference what with him not planning to change the Iraq situation or anything.

Nader may seem like the good candidate, but he won't win. Period.

Truth is, Bush will get his second term even if he has to create a second 9/11 to postpone the election. Sad world.

Note, I'm aware I hadn't posted in ages.
 
I'd vote for Kerry. I think bush is evil and i've never heard of the other guy.

This all sounds like a really great platform. Something I completely believe in, however, does Nader have any kind of structured plan to move his platform into policy? That's all I'm really concerned about. Because if he does, then I think I know who I'm voting for.

I was originally leaning toward Kerry, just because of my loathe of Bush and the things that he stands for.

I'd be willing to bet if you asked him that question, he'd say he does, but I'd be equally anxious to doubt he actually does.

I'm not sure that's why you would vote for a guy like Nader. I agree with what Lorne the Host said. Nader doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of actually winning. If I was going to vote for him it would be first of all as a protest vote, and secondly as a message to the other parties saying I'm concerned about the same kinds of things Nader is.
 
I'm a Kerry fan, though I guess my feelings are more anti-Bush than pro-Kerry. I like some of Nader's policies, okay, a lot of them, but his lack of political experience does make me a little uneasy. I think if he's serious about running for president and not just doing it as a desparate plee for attention (as a lot of people believe), he should have eased into politics. Teddy Roosevelt was a major voice against monopolies at the turn of the century, but he didn't get elected president until after he built up some political experience. He also seems to have the same problem Howard Dean had--he's just too left of center to get a majority of the votes.

I just wish I lived it a swing state so my vote would mean more.
 
If I were old enough to vote...I would go with Nader. I absolutely hate kerry, but Ihate Bush even more. Kerry seems...I don't know...I can't explain it...fake...maybe....and i really don't agree with his position on certain topics...but I disagree with Bush even more. So I would kind of be stuck voting for nader...although I don't believe he would do a good job as president...he's just the lesser evil IMO.
 
I really don't know much about the candidates poilicies, so I really couldn't pick. But so far i have liked Kerry slightly more than Bush. My only reason would be because I like the name Kerry better than Bush, so thank god I'm not old enough to vote. And for all I know Nader could be an eskimo so I really know nothing.
 
If I lived in America, I would definitely vote for Kerry. I can't stand Bush and while I like some of Nader's policies he is a touch too far to the left for me.

BTW I have this really funny anti-bush flash game. I don't want to post it here but if anyone wants the link send me a pm, email or see me on MSN/Yahoo and I'll send it to ya. It's definitely one of the funniest (and actually educational games) games I've played online in a while.
 
Not thst its any suprise, but I guess someone should point out that, now that the Democratic Convention is over, Kerry is the official Democratic nominee.
