I would begin an arc with Willow, for some reason, trying to get in contact with Fred in LA, only to, at that time, find out that Giles had blocked contact between Angel and her when Fred was being possessed by Illyria. Then Andrew would accidentally let slip that he had discovered that Spike was currently there also, and that he had been ordered by Giles not to tell Buffy or any of the others. Of Course, once Buffy finds out about all of this, all holy hell breaks loose and rains down on Giles, who it is discovered ALSO knew about and never reported the LA to Hell situation AND had recognised the amulet that Spike had worn into the hellmouth and was aware of exactly what it was capable of doing. Upon hearing about all of this, Buffy sets up a rescue team to rescue the survivors in LA, a team consisting of her best fighters, and which Faith insists on being included in.
The rescue team heads to the site of LA, where Willow breaks through the glamor that has concealed the true situation. The team charges in just in time to join Angel and all of his allies in the monumental final showdown with the Senior Partners, thereby breaking LA and all of its inhabitants out of hell and altering all of their memories, making them remember a combination earthquake and massive terrorist attack followed by mass looting and gang wars, in order to explain the general destruction and loss of life in the city and surrounding area.
After everything is restored to as close to normalcy as possible, there is a meeting between Buffy, Faith, Angel, and Spike.
Buffy to Angel: So, Spike was back all this time, and you never bothered to let me know?
Angel: Well, I thought that it would be best for you if...
Buffy: Shut up! (Turns to Spike) And YOU couldn't even TRY to let me know?
Spike: Well, you see, pet...
Buffy: Shut up! (Faces Giles, who Willow has teleported to town just for this meeting. Unfortunately, he had been in the shower at the time, so he is now standing, dripping, wrapped in a rather grungy blanket that someone had found for him) And YOU knew abuot all of this from Day One, and you didn't bother to let me know?
Giles: I was only trying to...
Buffy: Shut up! (Turns back to Angel) And all this time, you've been boinking a WEREWOLF?
Angel starts tt speak, but from a warning glare from Buffy, decides to remain silent.
Buffy: (Glaring balefully at Spike) And you've been hanging around with a HELL GOD after what Glory did to all of us?
Spike just shrugs sheepishly, knowing better than to say anything.
Willow: Uh, Buffy, in defense of Spike, see, Illyria was really Fred, and...
Buffy: Shut up! (then wheels to face Faith, who's just about to say something) You shut up, too! (then begins pacing back and forth in front of the silent group) You've all, every damn one of you, betrayed and deceived me time and again in this matter, knowing how upset I would be if I ever found out the truth. Well, I found out, despite you all, and now you're all gonna get a piece of my mind. But first, this whole thing with Angel, Spike, and me is finally gonna be settled, once and for all. I've had all of this time to think about what I really feel, who I really love, and who I've finally decided to spend the rest of my life with. (Buffy glares at the frightened group) There will be no more arguments, no more plots, no more plans to protect me for my own good. (her voice cracks slightly from emotion and a single tear slides down her cheek) The man I love, the man I will ALWAYS love, the man who I want to spend the rest of my life with, if he will just heve me, is...
Suddenly the office door crashes open, and an overweight man wearing a leather mask emblazoned with the number 5 shouts: Everyone come, quickly. THE DEVIL HAS BUILT ANOTHER ROBOT!!!
Everyone grabs their weapons and the group charges out to face the new menace.
