If you had the chance.......

I would go to age 18 and refuse to move to the city for University. I should have stayed in the country with my job and set up life here away from family pressures.

So if you had the chance to go back in time to a specific age in your life and change something would you do it and what age would to go to?
im about to graduate college and i really wish i could go back to being a freshman right now. I regret not trying harder to make new friends and have the "classic" college experience. Also kind of wish id majored in something else

Aw I’m sorry to hear that. I’m glad you’re almost done. That is a major accomplishment!
I'd be tempted to go back and form a decent legal strategy with my dad when I was 14 so that he got custody of me, and then he could send me to live with my grandmother. But I'd be completely different today. It's very unlikely I'd have ever watched Buffy.

I'd also miss some friends. I allowed myself to be pressured into losing contact with some people, and that's something I could change instead that wouldn't fundamentally change me as a person (though details would change). I expect I'd still be in the goth scene, if in a casual way.

I'd want to track someone down from my teen years (in the early 2000s, but we were teens in the late 90s), I think he had the potential to be famous, but I also think he was autistic (and not "high functioning") who'd be royally screwed over. I'd like to help him with that...if I could. Though it might not be good for him. Perhaps best to stay underground (music wise), but still happy. He was fun enough that I wouldn't mind carrying him, and he could probably help "break even" at least.

The kicker would be that I'd have to be able to remember how it was before, otherwise I'd probably change all that to something else. Well, maybe not the first one (being able to live with my grandmother which would RADICALLY change my life, presumably for the better, if a lot less interesting, but if I didn't know it, then it wouldn't bother me, and I'd drop some baggage at the same time so it kinda evens out).

It's strange, but I'd like to go back to right after I graduated college so that I could formulate a plan on where to go from there. It's been almost three years and I wish I had done more for my education/social life between now and then.

I would go back to school age stand up to my bullies and get kicked out. Then be transferred to a better school and get better exam results and avoid stress.
When that happened to me, my parents offered to transfer me to a private school. But I refused. All of my friends were at this school, and I wasn't going anywhere. Also, I was lucky to have a few friends (who were also gang members) EAGERLY VOLUNTEER to terrify the bullies. They never bothered me again. So that problem was relatively short-term.

It's all about who you know. 🥳
