If You Love Buffy You May Like...

I am currently obsessed with anything Jonathan Shiff. (Australian TV Producer) He does what would be considered childrens TV series but I'm 49 yrs old and my wife and I delight in everything we've seen from him. But, I warn, they are goofy kids shows.
Everything I've seen included strong female leads..so.. Everything from teenage mermaids to teenage alien surfer girls!

I especieally love H2O, Just Add Water.

Also, made for Netflix, Mako Mermaids (H2O spinoff)

Lightning Point (teenage alien surf girls)
Elephant Princess (She doesn't know she's the princess of an alter-deminsional magical land beyond Australia)

The only one I've seen in the bunch is H2O, and honestly I hated it. I guess it's just not my style, but to each their own 🙂

Aside from that, I'm actually a big fan of kids TV shows. My favourite has to be The Last Airbender. I just LOVE that show.

Yeah, If you didn't like H2O it's doubtful you'd like the other ones.
My 10ish year old nieces love it though. If anyone has little girls I'd definitely recommend.
I'll have to try the Airbender one.
Does anyone else have suggestions?

Although it doesn't have really any kind of supernatural elements to it, I highly recommend "Veronica Mars" to anyone who's watched Buffy. The writing is on pair with the best of Buffy episodes. 🙂

Very much agree with this. Veronica Mars was brilliant, witty and compelling with a strongly portrayed little blonde heroine. The comparisons with Buffy are obvious. 🙂

Joss himself raved about the show, recommended it and even had a cameo in S2.
Plus Alyson Hannigan and Charisma Carpenter had recurring character roles- and even interacted with each other at one point.

Another show that should've gotten 7 seasons instead of a lousy 3...🙁

Yeah there was! Funded by a kickstarter campaign, the most succesfull to date! And it was awesome! Buffy in my heart will always be #1... but VM is a solid #2 if not almost tied!

I would recommend Fringe, although it goes a bit floppy at the end, and The Returned, a French supernatural series. They're not funny like Buffy and Angel, but if you like supernatural programmes then you won't go wrong 🙂

Veronica Mars has 3 season and the movie. Again i HIGHLY recommend it! You will be hooked and wished it had 7 or 8 seasons!

I am assuming that if you like Buffy you like strong women, good writing, close friends...etc.

These are not Buffy clones in terms of the supernatural, but they are incredible shows. Orphan Black is amazing, multilayered, well written. The Killing is also and amazing show. It's very gritty so in that way it's more like season 6 & 7 fans. The characters are incredibly richly drawn, and the stories unfold. There's almost an independent move feel to it.
