If You Were A Matchmaker...

If you could pair up two people in the Buffyverse who have not previously been a couple, who would it be and why?

I would love to see Spike and Faith hook up in a real, romantic, sends her flowers and candy, hold hands walking down the street, cuddle in the movies, make out on the living room couch sort of way, because neither one of them seem to have ever had that sort of relationship, and I think that they both really deserve it.

Dawn and Connor

They have so much in common - they're both mystical, they both sort of grow up suddenly, they both have to deal with the legacy of a superpowered father/sister, they both have been accused of being a bit whiney, and it seems that people either love or hate them. I think they would be lovely together!

Fred and Willow. They're alike and look so right together. I mean, if Fred was a lesbian... lol

And if we stick with the gay factor, Spike and Xander. There is something between them that click.

I'm with tranquility on the Connor/Dawn thing. I think they would work really well together.

I'd actually like to see Spike with Willow. I read a AU fic one time with them as the couple and it really really worked.

Gunn and Cordy seemed to have a really great chemistry that was never tapped into.

Also Spike and Xander would have been the cutest!

Lilah and Gavin? Gavin?!?!? She could do soooo much better than that....

I would have liked to see Wesley and Illyria's relationship develop some more. I think that could have been really sweet, and tragic - which Joss seems to go for. Other than that, Lorne and Harmony were great together. I don't really see them as a couple though.

Of coarse Willow and Xander, but I'm not sure they count as an unrequited couple because of their brief stint in Season 3.
