if you were darla what you have done?
1- kill yourself just like she did to save her baby
2- deliver him to holtz so he could raise him
3- kill your own son because you're gonna loose the soul inside you ( connor)
4- go to the PTB ask if they can restore your soul..
 
If I was Darla, i'd take off all my clothes and just keep looking down.....i mean i'd suggest a Mirror but thats pointless!!!

Ohhh and i'd turn Faith for some Slayer/Vampire Lesbian love making🙂

Kill myself to save the baby: yep.
Get someone to restore my soul-Yep so then i could have the son to love Angel to S**G and....well....
 
I never quite figured out how Darla ever developed "love" for the baby. Curiosity I could see.

ALthough it made a great story... And staking herself was the coolest thing I'd seen in awhile. I had to go back and watch it the very first time I saw it to make sure I'd really seen what my eyes were telling me...

um, im not sure, but the way i see it, vampire + soul = ability to feel and stuff (feel love, feel guilt, etc.). because connor had a soul, and he was inside of her, she had a soul inside of her. this gave her the feelings that come with it. plus, connor's whole existence inside a vampire was an anomaly, so it didnt work like a normal pregnancy. maybe she shared his soul in some way that normal people wouldnt because she's a vampire.
 
Well to be fair, vampires can love without a soul (Spike and Dru, Harmony) but yeah, the soul inside Conner was technnically in her too. Hence the love.

But as answers to the question go, I like Alisters best 🙂
 
I think my first choise would be to try to find a way to restore my soul. What loving parent doesn't want to see their child grow up into a fine, upstanding, responsible adult?

On the subject of the Angel/Darla/Connor saga, did I completely miss it, or was there ever any kind of explanation as to just how the heck two supposedly impossible-to-become-parents vampires could become parents? It was a great plot twist, right up there with the old "how can up until now only child Buffy suddenly have a teenaged sister?"

One that is responsible for some truly abhorrent acts and believe their life would be a curse on the child not a help.

1 - Kill Myself to save the baby.. that was something as Dancing Man said., made a huge impact on the show and a sarcrifice Darla was willing to make.. i was like nooo.. but i think it was good that it happened that way.

basically the baby couldnt be naturally born because Darla wasnt able to give birth, as Wesley said, shes a vampire. And no vampire is a life-giving vessel, so they couldnt cut her open either as mystical forces were protective of the pregnancy and wouldnt let anything harm Darla nor the baby, except well of course Darla killing herself. So does that explain it? Spirit Of Fred basically summed this up in the quotes above.. but just in case 🙂
