If you were Dawn, would you of kicked Buffy out?I wouldn't.I got so mad at Dawn, the gang, and the potentials.I felt sorry for Buffy.

To me, it seemed that everything was blown out of proportion in the fight, it started off on one little thing, then everything blew up...

Its one of the hardest things to watch when Buffy gets kicked out...

Well I hate Dawn and still wish she had jumped in The Gift and not Buffy. So I wasn't at all shocked when she kicked Buffy out because that's the kind of person Dawn is--evil. I am , however, very disappointed in Buffy's other friends who should have stood by her.

No I wouldn't have and I was really ticked that Dawn had the audacity to tell Buffy she needed to go. Very peeved at that moment. And then sticking up for her afterwards, like that was supposed to make it all ok.

You'd think they would have learned to trust Buffy by now.....

Yes I was very upset when they all kicked Buffy out. I was especially angry at the Potentials who always thought they knew everything... but I would not have done that if I were Dawn. I agree muchly that it's one of the hardest things to watch.

These people were risking their lives for her and she was taking a full authoritarian attitude. Buffy was careless the entire season especially with these girls lives. She appeared to be leading them off to their doom. I don't blame them for standing up against it. I think Buffy needed to see their point of view, or find her own army....apparently, that's just me...

Just you? Guess again. I agree with you Jacklyn, that Buffy was a little too much into her own ideas to see anyone else's. I certainly think that Dawn felt very guilty for actions, but also knew that they were just in this case.

I would have felt terrible about it...but yea. I think I'd kick her out. I think she needed the little reality check before she got everyone seriously hurt or killed. She was only thinking about herself and what she though was right, and not the others she was supposed to be protecting or what they thought.

I completely agree with you Jenny....and it turned out that Buffy was right about everything, so they really must have gotten a reality check afterwards.

I understand what the pro-kickherouters are saying. Buffy was mean, etc, etc. I understand this is a tv show but within the boundaries of the television I have to make this point.

They were at WAR. You can't be nice in a war, you can't take everybody opinions in account. War isn't about kittens and puppies and let's all sit down and ask how everyone feels and then make a decision and then talk about that decision and then talk about that talk.

Part of what Buffy does is take action..she slays, she helps, she saves....allot. This wasn't like any other apocalpyse and she really had to be pushy.

The pivotal point is when they went into the vineyard because Buffy believed they were protecting something there and no one else did but were they? Yes. The Scythe that gave them the power to defeat The First. Looking at things post-eviction how did things improve for them? They argued a bit and talked about that and then was involved in bomb explosion...yeah kicking Buffy out really lead to good stuff. .......well it kinda did 🙂 It led to that cute Spike and Buffy moment but other than that I think it was a bad decision on their part.

I understand what you're saying, Cordy. I just hate the way the characters interacted in the last season. Remember when they actually used to be friends? But then Marti Noxon came along and destroyed everything that made the show good. Dawn was actually the only character I could stand in S7(although she bugged the crap out of me in S6.)

The potentials were really the ones who started the whole "buffy get out" thing.They didn't like dying, and were blaming Buffy on it.This is the first apocalypse the potentials have ever faced.They were new to the game, and were still scared of all the evil that had come.They didn't want to suffer, as most of the potentials did.So they refused to listen to Buffy.The gang went along with the potentials, cause they didn't want themselves or anymore of the potentials to die.So it wasn't really Buffy's fault.It was just the gang and potentials fault.They were just too scared to die again.They blamed it on Buffy, cause she wanted them to fight again.They were sick and tired of fighting, so they blamed it all on Buffy, who wanted them to fight again.So it was kinda everybody's fault.If Buffy hadn't demanded them to got to battle, the potentials, who didn't wanna died and were to scared, wouldn't of betrayed her, along with the gang, who didn't like the idea, either.

It wouldn't have mattered if the potentials wanted Buffy to leave or not. The decision was made by the Scoobies...none of them believed in her and they weren't willing to risk there lives. Buffy had to go because she wasn't playing by the same game plan as them anymore. Dawn was right to tell her she had to leave. I know it was hard to watch, but they weren't on the same path anymore at that time. Buffy did prove that her way was the right way and the gang came back together. If I had just witnessed what they had in the Cellar w/ Caleb, I wouldn't have been with her to go back in there either. It seemed rash and irresponsible at that point. Buffy was the only one willing to take that chance...so she did.

Buffy wasn't listening to anyone elses opinions, I know it was war, but that doesn't give her the right to ignore everyone else. I don't think they should have kicked her out, that was a little harsh, but i do understand Dawn for doing it. Buffy needed to realise they weren't gonna do whatever she told them, but she wouldn't listen, and maybe Dawn saw it as the only way. Of all the scoobies, it seems to me like Dawn has had the most contact with the potentials, and probably understands them more. Which is weird, when Buffy is the one of all people who should be understanding. Their worlds turned upside down, their suddenly in danger every day, they find out demons and vampires exist...Buffy has been through the same thing, and should understand how hard it is, but she just kept pushing, and expected them to all be strong fighters and follow her every word. She should know better!

The thing that gets me is their reactions to Buffy when she comes back. She saves the potentials butts after the mishap with the Faith, and the bomb...then they're looking towards her for leadership. You sorta feel like Buffy would back away because theyrealised they made a mistake and want to forget it, and go back to Buffy the Leader. Her friends act like nothing happened...BUT YOU JUST TOLD HER TO GET OUT!

I think it was very noble of Buffy to continue leading the potentials and her friends without holding a grudge for what they did. The potentials were whiney, and of course, they don't want to die, but yes, they did act like they knew everything...they probably felt stupid for kicking her out, and wanted to act like it's all smoothed out and nothing happened....jeesh. :fighting1

And when Dawn said "this is my house too" well DUH but it's Buffy's house as well! Kicking her out was stupid, and just got more of them killed. Oh well...we all know what happens in the end, anyway...

buffy died for her unworthy ass, she whined and whined and whined for too damn long and nobody kicked her out of the house although someone should have put her in her deserving place ages ago. buffy gave up everything for her, and she kicks her out of the house.
her house too?! i'm sorry, what? who put that roof over her head, who provided for her since joyce died, who *paid for the house*? buffy.
dawn proved once more than no matter how pretty one would trry to paint a picture, all that comes out is an ungrateful brat. nothing changed, as much as she tried to mature.
