If you're a true Buffy fan...

I cry a lot when watching movies or TV shows... I am a very emotional person, so I can't ever watch stuff that's really sad without crying.

sad doesn't bother me.. its that life affirming happy crap that makes me a bit cryee
I don't really agree with the phrase that if you don't cry you ain't a real fan. BUT I do cry and I am a fan.

Anyhow, I cry mostly when there is a background music that is really emotional. Like the Close Your Eyes Scene, like the ending of season 6, Spike dying, seeing Buffy and Spike in each other's arms in "Touched", "I Will Remember You", etc.

Still none have listed the one episode that gets me. And probably no one ever will!

OK Sco, this is driving me crazy, I have to take a guess. So, I'm thinking of season 5 eps/scenes that have touched me: Forever, esp at the end with Buffy & Dawn. Xander's speeches to buffy & Anya in Into the Woods. How about in Blood Ties when Dawn cuts up her arms & says "Is this blood? This is blood, isn't it? It can't be me. I'm not a key. I'm not a thing. What am I? Am I real? Am I anything?". [that scene always gets me]. Is it Family (final Magic Box scene? Twillow dance scene at the Bronze?)? Dawn & Spike at the end of Intervention? Am I getting close at all LOL?

I recall crying through a lot of episodes!

Episodes that I always bawl my eyes out over are The Gift and Chosen. I'm not sure if anyone finds I Was Made To Love You sad but I cried at that the other day.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.. it's nice to see you made progress.

Scobro agrees: whatever season the body was, but not that episode

It's either I Was Made to Love You with April Warren's sexbot or it's Into the Woods when Riley leaves.

Dude, look above!! I just said what it was.. LOL serious.. Buffy vs Dracula is the only episode that kills me.. I cant even THINK about it now without it haunting me..
Wait.. now I am all confused.. the end of Buffy vs Dracula was Dawn.. grr.. oh my. ::hides:: why did I think it was Dracula.. maybe it was something equally funny and I thought that for that reason. I dunno. Crap. Take away my fanbadge on that one.

somehow it doesnt look as good as i thought it would look you doing it... but I do like the way you shake your, um, tambourine Kean.

IF your a true fan of Buffy then there is NO denying that you've cried during episodes!

Again "proof" that I'm not a real Buffy fan. Shame on me.

What touches me the most emotionally is the umbrella scene in The Prom. It can happen other times as well but that scene never fail to make an impression. I don't cry though.

After I finished with season 7, I think I cried like an hour or so. And I was way too teary the following day. And then I read a fanfic (I think it was something like "Every night I save you") and then I cried some more. I'm a really teary person when it comes to Buffy.

Half the death scenes do!

Tara's Death (Buffy)
Doyle's Death (Angel)
You're Welcome (Angel)
Buffy's second death speech (Buffy)
Spike's Death (Buffy)
Spike coming back (Angel)

Gotham
Gorhot Doyle's death!
I always break down in Becomming Part 2 when Buffy kills Angel.. seeing her going through that and leaving Sunnydale really gets me 🙁 I also cried at the end of the Gift and when Joyce died.
In Angel the only time my tears flowed was when Fred died 🙁

if you just knew how many time i cried.. lol xD
first.. i cried when buffy killed angel in Becoming pt. 2. then i cried when angel left in Graduation Day pt. 2. I burst into tears when Buffy died (because of her speech to Dawn) I cried when Xander kept telling Willow that he loves her in Grave.. And I cried so hysterically when Buffy said "I love you to Spike" and he just said "No you don't, but thanks for saying it" (Chosen).

So.. yeah, that's what I recall.. So.. I must be a true Buffy fan xD

i'll admit to shedding a few tears when Doyle died in Angel... his speech about not knowing until you're tested is fantastic and really fills the entire scene with emotion...

I think the one scene that would have had me in tears, would have been Tara's funeral... if they'd filmed / shown that for an episode at the beginning of of the season, i know i would have been in tears through it...

M

Oh wow. Episodes I cry during? The Body, Forever, Seeing Red, Grave, Wild At Heart, Tabula Rasa (the end), The Prom (the part about Angel and not being able to breathe.)

I've shed so many tears over Buffy episodes! No matter how many times I watch them, I still cry.

Oh, I'm glad we're semi-anonymous here. 🙂

Once More, With Feeling brings tears to my eyes in several places....

  • The beauty of their friendship during "I've Got a Theory"
  • The loneliness of Buffy throughout the ep
  • The part about being expelled from Heaven
  • And the absolute beauty of the entire episode.

And this from a 44 year old lawyer who hates musicals! lol

The first thousand times I saw it I couldn't get through Standing without bawling!
I cried at a lot of episodes, I even cried at the end of the episode in season 7 where Dawn thinks she's a potential slayer, but it turns out it's not her, and then Xander makes that little speech to her about how the others cant understand them because they don't have super powers and it makes them extraordinary. I just loved it. It's been some time since i've watched it though.

🙂

Buffy:
- The Gift (The Body made me sad, and very upset, but disturbed; not crying, but I do think my eyes watered. The Gift made me bawl, and does nearly everytime)
- Seeing Red/Villians
- Grave (The Willow/Xander part, when you could just feel her pain while trying to harm Xander, which hurt her to do. Then when Buffy broke down, and realized how she wanted to live)

Angel:
- Are You Now or Have You Ever Been
- Tomorrow
- Spin the Bottle (when Cordy tells Angel they were in love)
- Inside Out
- You're Welcome
- A Hole In the World
- Shells
- Not Fade Away
