I'm going to Stockholm in January: any tips?

Well like the title of the thread says. I'm going to Stockholm with two friends coming January. I'll be there from the 28th of January till the 1st of February and I was wondering if maybe some of the lovely Swedish folks that visit these boards had any suggestions for places to stay, things to eat, sites to visits, etc..

i went there, twice this year. Firstly, make sure you work out your hotel stuff well in advance, and its going to be expensive no matter what. Esp if you stay in the city. I suggest stayin outside the city because its cheaper, and their rail system is EXCELLENT! Make sure you buy a weekly rail pass coz its cheap and you'll make use of it over there, and use the buses too. Go to ikea, coz its just awesome, even if your not going to buy anything. Wander around Gamla Stan coz its beautiful, take loads of photos. Make sure you eat the ice cream there. Everyday, for me. Please! If I think of more stuff, i'll let you know. Im jealous...take me with you pleeeeease!
