What is going on. When i first arived, you had a pet and your health which i was okay with when it was gotten rid of. But why can't you see how many post people have now? I liked to compare my self to others, sounds selff involved or what ever, but i did. Why did they get rid of it?

We had a vote to see whether or not to keep the pets and it was voted against by the members.

As for post count, many members suggested removing it to us, and then after the recent problem with people being upset over their counts decreasing, they were removed. Now there need be no worry over who has the highest post count, or whether or not it shows accurately how long you've been on the board.

Well tht makes sense. How did you get the picture of the cat?

Awww... 🙁 the votes went through and I wasn't here?! No fair! I loved the pets... what will happen to poor denver now!? ::crying:: ::crying::

If you really want to see other people's post counts...It's still in their profiles. But I am glad they got rid of showing the post count. It drove me insane when it decreased, and I was like..*need more posts*..now I don't care so much. I think it was a good idea to not show that...

I am going to try and code it so that it is an option whether you want to view them or not.

I don't really like post counts. Why? A small minority of people post crap everywhere to boost their count, so they have more posts than other people. Which, of course, means if you're trying to read forums you end up having to wade through said posts.

You said exactly what I was thinking (and telling Faith also). :)
I totally agree about the post count but I miss my snail. I can see your pet, Buffy, but not my own. *sniffles* And my favourite RL snail, Pagan, just died. Please let us keep our pets. ::crying2: ::crying2:

The only bad thing about getting rid of the post count is now I can't tell who is a newbie... but maybe that is a good thing now. No more newbie discrimination.

Thanks, That's cool! Well... don't stress over it though... I love the site anyway... even without the pets!

Thanks again...

*hugs*
