Think of these the greatest series that you probably should have watched when they were on. Perhaps they were ahead of their time, or too good for the TV networks that aired them. Some of them actually had a decent run, all things considered. At any rate, we present, in no particular order, 20 wonderful series that we wish had gotten more episodes.

Of course our favorite crew is #1, & there are other obvious ones (Freaks & Geeks, Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, etc). But there are lots of other forgotten gems there, shows that I haven't thought about in years: Sports Night!!! Life, I'll Fly Away (which I loved). And some stuff I've never seen which I obviously should.

Then I'll skip the obvious ones. Sports night. If Aaron Sorkin and Joss did anything together it would be insanley good. Undeclared. Kind of a follow up to Freaks and Geeks (no it isn't. Just the next step.) One of the characters reads a magazine with Eliza on the cover. 🙂

Of course our favorite crew is #1
It sounds good doesn't it? But...

Have only seen "Firefly" and "Freaks and Geeks" of those. Some I hadn't even heard about.

Really want to watch Sports Night though. Was about to do that some time ago but then I kinda forgot about it. 😱

Ah ha ha. Love the text beneath the banner. :)
Haven't seen a lot of these.
I have seen Freaks and Geeks and Friday night lights.
I understand what they mean Friday night lights will have five seasons but when I think of it ending I feel sad.

This list has some shows I want to see like Wonderfalls, Veronica Mars, Arrested Development and Firefly.

I'm considering getting Firefly.

Yay for VM being on the list! 🙂 Although, I'm not so sure it's a good thing. 😛

VM karma!
Great to see Firefly topping the list.

And Arrested Development was, without a doubt, one of the funniest shows ever. Imma miss that. =(

Awesome that Firefly was on the list! I also adore Veronica Mars, so I'm happy to see that on there too.

Hadn't even HEARD of the majority of these! I guess that's why they call them underrated huh? Firefly is the only one I have seen bits and pieces of... And still haven't seen the entire way through!

Party Down was BRILLIANT, I'm still livid about that cancellation. Oh my beloved Veronica Mars how I miss you 🙁 And duh, Freaks and Geeks will hold place on these type of lists for an eternity. But where the bloody hell is My So-Called Life on this list?! And Dead Like Me deserves a spot as well.

You know, I bought My So Called Life a few months back, expecting to fall madly in love with it. I didn't though. I was a little too young to appreciate it when it first aired and I think I'm too old to fully enjoy it now. It is so in that bubble of being a teenage girl, I found it hard to a) put myself back in that place (in fairness, why would I?) or b) enjoy it for what it was. It just got tiresome after a while.

*gasp!* I dunno, I think its perfection, but I did fall in love with it while it originally aired. I guess I can understand the being too young back then and too old now for it to affect you like maybe its meant to. Still though its a cult classic! You regret buying it? The new release was so pretty too and loaded with special features! Thats a shame... you should watch the special features, it could help explain the phenomenon perhaps.

No way, I absolutely do not regret buying it. More so, I regret not being able to appreciate it to its full potential. I mean, I understand the phenomenon completely. It is probably the finest example of what it is to be a 15/16 year old girl that you are ever likely to find. And if it I was that age watching it I have no doubt at all that it would have been a MASSIVE deal to me. I just...it is too good a representation almost. I don't want to remember what it was like to be 15/16 year old Kean, ya know?

I keep saying where is My So-Called Life.
I got into it when they showed Re-runs on TheN a while back. I was like what is this show?
It was so great. I am going to try to watch it again soon or buy it when I get the chance, it is so darn expensive as is Freaks and Geeks. In the end it is worth it though.

You know I regret not buying Veronica Mars now. They had the first two seasons were in a double pack and I said oh I can wait. Boo on me.

Dead like Me was so not deserving of its cancellation nor was anything Bryan Fuller made, like Pushing Daisies. I stopped watching once I heard it got the ax.🙁

Firefly is the only one on that list I've seen, although I've heard good things about Arrested Development. I might give that a go.

For what it's worth I think it's more your humour than mine. Even if I thought it was ok.
I've seen every episode of Firefly and the movie and I gotta say I just don't think it's that great.
I think that's probably because I still hold it against Joss that he dropped Angel for Firefly after saying he'd take Angel to another station rather than to see it end...
That and the "wagon train to the stars" idea is so over.

Blasphemy!
Not sure if witchcraft really does work, but just in case I put a hex on Fox at the end of watching each episode of Firefly...how could any sane person cancel this show

Hahaha, Strangers With Candy is #9. One of the weirdest shows I've ever seen, but it always seemed to make me laugh.
