Checking out what "imood" actually is and with the current board rules in effect (See Below), i see no problem with it. I take it's an animated image of how you are feeling, right? Aslong as you keep to the one animation, go right ahead. 🙂

******************
Board signatures should not have extremely LARGE images/pictures. This may throw off the alignment of a thread and is a sight for sore eyes. Signature banners should be no more than 100 pixles in height. ONE Animated banner is allowed in board sigs.

******************

Well i don't know how it fully works but if it's an image (doesn't matter if it's animated or not), all you'll really need is the URL address (for example, http://www.imood.com/image.jpg) to where it's hosted.

Then once you have it copied down, add the vB code around the URL in the signature section via your profile like so: [*IMG]http://www.imood.com/image.jpg[*/IMG] (Without the asterisks)

If that doesn't work, i'll sign up to see what's the best method. 🙂

I tried before but it didn't work, though I'm really bad at stuff like this so it could just be me!!

Well i signed up, but i don't really understand what you wish to add to your signature? Could you please be more specific, or have you changed your mind?

ummm I just know that theres a way of getting a little pic and the description into a sig

heres what I've got so far:

[a href=http://www.imood.com/query.cgi?email=bfandbf@hotmail.com][/a]

I got told to change stuff to stuff and this is what it came up as, this is as much as I know, I'm really bad at this stuff, thanx for helping!!

Yeah, i see the problem now. After changing all the coding into vB code (the boards is unable to offer HTML support), i found that the image was impossible to view as it is actually generated by CGI (Common Gateway Interface), which is predominantly a HTTP, HTML based scripting code. Effectively it creates the image (foreground, background, even the text) using a totally different interface than vB (HTTP) to access the file. The only way you could skip round this is to find the base imood image you would want to include in your signature and use that (sadly this eliminates the option to have a different background or foreground image colour, the text and the added feature of it updating itself, unless you find the base code for that i.e. not holding the "query.cgi?" preference as you will see using the example below), however this also defeats the idea of having an interchangeable mood setting. (i know, it sucks!) The only other option is for me to ask the admin's to re-instate the HTML support feature into the signature section, so i'll see what they have to say. 🙂

Here's the coding to which you will need for the base image anyway. Linking to your profile was the easy part, it's trying to get the CGI code of the image converted into a vB format, which at the moment is currently impossible without the boards sig section HTML supported.

Example:
http://www.imood.com/sick.gif[*/img][*/url] (Without the Asterisks)

Note: As you can see you get the smilie, you just don't get all that lovely CGI from the code you gave above. ("query.cgi?email=bfandbf@hotmail.com&type=1&fg=9900cc&bg=660066") :(

In advance, also remember there might be a slight colour clash with other board colour schemes, as the colour backgrounds of the imood images use only one hex code, (i.e. #000000=white). If you get the boards sig's HTML supported though, that's where the "border="0" at the end of the code comes in handy.

Expect a response from the busy-bods at admin very soon.

Thank you soooo much!!!!!!!!!!!

It may take me a while to work all that out in my head but... Thank you 😀

Thanks to the suppport of the admin team and especially to Xander Harris for coding the script into vB, all you now have to do is add this to your signature.

[*imood]---Email Address---[*/imood] (Without Asterisks).

Thank you for your patience, Brandy. (We all got there in the end, heh) :: tu ::
