I decided to just put this up, since Meg said she was going to.

Things have been quiet since our last encounter with Amara. I found the name rather interesting, since Amara shares a name with a very famous, or should I say infamous ring, not sure if there is a connection or not.

I am more concerned with the Slayer though. Although she seems to have talent for her calling, I sometimes wonder about her focus, or if she truely grasps what is out there.

I doubt it, but then, I have been around for over 500 years, and my expereinces have not raised my respect for humanity as a whole, even though I have met some extraordinary people.

Luna most of all, although she was evil, my unbeating heart still aches at the thought she is gone.

My last view of her was us being forced to seperate as Holtz's men closed in on us in Yorkshire. Only 3 came after me, and I was able to easily, and quite brutally kill them. Even today their screams ring out in my mind.

Although I could never prove that Luna had been killed, the fact that I never heard from her again made me believe that she had been destroyed. For over 100 years, I held out hope that she would return, no one I had ever met had such lust for the kill, yet could be so quiet and introspective at other times.

Everything I have become, I owe to her. Even though she had turned me into a truely evil, vicous killer, on the same level as the legendary Angelus. Funny how he and I seemed to have shared similar fates, the worst of demons, now fighting the good fight. All the while, we are forced into a life in the shadows, with very little hope of ever truely bettering ourselves. Souls or not, neither one of us could ever truely be a part of the world.

For those unfamiliar with In Betweens, it's like what happens between the episodes we play in the chat room. Writen in the style of personal journals, you can talk about just about anything in them, however anything with plot points currently in play or other characters make sure the other party consents to what you do.

All this research and still, not too much is clear on what this thing is. I know I don't act scared, but I am. I've never done anything like this before. I mean, I can feel that surge in my veins that tells me, I am what they say I am, but that still doesn't mean I really know what I'm doing.

But I suppose it only makes sense there are real demons in the world. Though as if humans weren't bad enough. I mean, I'm supposed to save a race that I'm not sure that I really even have any faith in, I'm not sure that speaks well of my potential to do this. Matt tries to encourage me and reasure me I can do it. But that little look in his eye when his eyes shift off mine tells me he has his doubts, and that he's just telling me what he thinks I need to hear. I mean, I guess I appreciate him trying to make me see the best, and trying to encourage me, god knows no one has encouraged me in any way in years. Other then my sister, but anyone older then me, anyone with any responsiblitly in the world, hasn't believe in me for ages, not since my grandparents. But I still have doubts, and I know Matt does too. I'm really not sure what we're getting into, but it sure as hell ain't gonna be easy.

But I suppose dying for a cause is better then dying for nothing at all, which was kind of the road I was headed down before, so...

May 30th,

Luna is alive!

My unbeating heart jumped with joy when I first saw her, then quickly, the feeling turned to dread.

Regardless of my feelings towards her, I cannot deny the fact that she and I are now very different. She, despite her centuries upon centuries of experience, could not understand what I have gone through.

But this only makes me fear even more. Not for me, as I do not believe she means me harm, we spent close to 300 years together, and that does not get erased by much, including time. A part of me misses the times with her, but that is the part I fear more then death itself, the part of me that is only supressed by the soul I was given, perhaps cursed with, depending on ones perspective.

Ciara...she seemed so...unconcerned by Luna's sudden appearence. Yet she should be, she has no real choice. Ciara has never fought any vampire even remotely as powerful as Luna, or myself for that matter. Luna has killed a Slayer before, in France in 1656, I remember that well. The Slayer meant to kill me, and would have, since I was barely close to the 150 mark as a vampire, had not Luna showed up.

I honestly do not know how old she in fact is. She never specifically told me, but some of her tales lead to believe she predates 1000 A.D., perhaps as far back as right before the fall of the Roman Empire, since she would speak with familiarity of the times. I do not even know where specifically she hails from, although her manner speaks highly of a fairly latin influence, so present-day Italy is certainly possible.

All I can do now though, is help Ciara prepare for the inevitable day that Luna thirsts for her blood, and just pray that she is ready, or else Luna will kill her...or worse.
