So, the movie was pushed back to a later date for "Oscar consideration" and it will soon be coming out. I have heard a few people rant and rave about how amazing the trailer is.. so I finally watched it. I was not really impressed. It didn't do much for me. When I saw Ron Howard I became alittle disappointed also and lowered my expectations.

What about you? Is the trailer fantastic and I am just missing the boat.... (ba dum bump) because I really dont see the greatness and Oscar worthiness to it.

Another remake of Moby Dick? Yawn. They call it by a different name just to make sure people do not realize they are seeing the same old thing.

I read the book and it was great. None of the movies so far have lived up to the book.

I think the movie looks great. But the trailer felt repetitive at times. I feel like I've seen the whole movie already. I'll still watch it, but yea the trailer did nothing for me.

It doesn't appeal to me personally. Just makes me sad for the nearly extinct whales. 🙁

I love movies at sea, this looks to be a visually very pleasing film. Not familiar with the story, so at least to me it will feel new. Not a fan of the theme behind it though, I'm rooting for the whale here.
