I hath Returned! MWhaha
Ok so after much thinking, i've decided to ATTEMPT to write a fanfic lol... Never done it before but the merrick RPG made me wanna do it. Its a Xander/Dawn fic so hope ya like it here it goes...
Chapter 1 & 2
"Hello?" Dawn's soft voice spoke into the phone, Her eyes widened and her unemotional face suddenly sprouted a wide smile as Xander spoke to her on the other end. "Xander! How is africa? Find any new slayers lately?" Dawn was thrilled to hear Xander's voice.. it had been months since she last spoke with him.
"Well I'd say its fine but... I left Africa weeks ago, I was needed elsewhere." Xander replied breathless as though he had just ran a mile. Dawn crinkled her eye brows and put her hand on her hip..."Oh you mean they've found more slayers?", Dawn had been looking through her history book while talking to Xander, looking at pictures of the old locations...She smiled while she listened to Xander talk, Barely even hearing the knock at the door, Dawn picked herself up off the couch laying the book on the coffee table, Phone still glued to her ear. She reached the door and began to unlock it, "Yeah well thats great... Maybe now you can relax and take a break with out having to worry about where to find the newest slayer." Dawn replied into the phone, she pulled back the door slowly dropping the phone as she sets eyes on the 6 foot something rather tired looking Xander.
"Yeah well Relaxing is the plan Dawnie, Just hope you dont mind if i do it here." smiled Xander wrapping Dawn in a tight hug, She couldn't believe after all this time he made his way to Italy to see them. "Of course I dont mind! Oh Xander you have no clue how much i've missed you!" Dawn's cheeks were starting to hurt from the huge smile she had on her face, she sighed as she finially pulled away from his hug. "Buffy's not home right now, she went out with her new guy... she said she'll be home around 7 that is if you dont mind waiting here with me." dawn said as she lead Xander into the guest room to put his stuff down, Xander just smiled and shook his head. "Towels are in the Bathroom Closet, along with sheets and washclothes. I've learned how to cook since i've been here so if you want... I'll make you a sandwhich or something while you clean up."... Xander agree'd to her suggestion taking some clothes from his bag, he walked to the door Dawn told him was the bathroom and looked back. "Thanks Dawnie.." He smiled at Dawn once more and shut the door.
When she could hear the water running she quickly rushed into the kitchen pressing herself agianst the fridge and taking a few deep breaths... she had been so excited since Xander had called she hadn't really gathered all the events in her mind, Dawn had a crush on Xander back in sunnydale, they had gotten closer right before the huge battle agianst the first, then when sunnydale was destroyed the entire scoobie gang split up in search of new slayers. Dawn Hadn't seen Xander since then, now that he was back she felt the old fimilar feeling of Warmth and understanding as she had felt back in Sunnydale, The last year and a half had been so hard on Dawn... New school, New country, New friends. Plus the knowledge of everything she knew in Sunnydale was no longer there. Dawn shook her head of all her saddening thoughts and openned the fridge taking out some things to make Xander a sandwhich with. Dawn put some chips on the plate with the sandwhich and placed it on the table, she pulled out a chair and waiting for Xander, Moments later he emerged from the bathroom entering the kitchen his hair still wet. Dawn took in his faint fresh scent and smiled..
"Ok so i'm not much of a cook yet, i'm still learning i figured that ham would do you for now." Dawn giggled, as Xander took a bite of his sandwhich, flashing a smile to Dawn and swallowing hard. "Yeah its great, Thanks Dawn.", He quickly finished his food and looked up at Dawn she looked different from the last time he had seen her, More mature somehow. Xander rose to his feet throwing the paper plate in the trash he brushed off any crumbs left on his hands and turned to Dawn looking at his watch and sighing. "Well its only 4 here.. that means we still have about 3 hours until Buffy gets here. So what do you say.. you show me around this place?"
Xander smiled as he pulled away from Dawn kissing her on her forehead as he had done many times in the past, this time it meant more he didn't know how it just did, He then turned and walked to his room, shutting the door behind him tossing himself on the twin sized bed and sighing looking up at the ceiling. Xander hadn't slept much since Sunnydale his thoughts plagued by Anya and how he lost her. Tears formed in his eyes but he refused to let them roll, he began thinking of the things that made him happy. For some reason Dawn's face came to his mind, he smiled as he thought of her. The fact he was thinking of Dawn still bothered him a bit but he just couldn't stop, He thought of the way her hair framed her face, How her nose sometimes crinkled when she laughed, How good her perfume smelled when she hugged him. Stop it. Stop it now. Thats Dawn your thinking of Buffy's little sister. How could you even think of her in this way. he thought to himself trying to get rid of the thoughts of his best friend's sweet little sister. It was wrong he was too old for her for one, and for two Buffy would kill him. Xander closed his eyes breathing deeply, not realizing how tired he really was he slowly drifted to sleep. Xander smiled as he held Dawn in his arms, he kissed her cheek gentley as he stroked her beautiful wavey brown hair. Dawn smiled back up at him warming his heart. "I love you Xander. I always have...I cant believe this is real." she looked down at her hand, around her small ring finger on her left hand was a beautiful tiffany setted Engagement ring. Xander smiled and turned her face toward him, "Anything for my girl." Dawn smiled looked down once more before turning back toward him, slowly moving toward him...her lips an inch from his. Xander was awaken by a knock on the door, he gasped for air for a moment clearing his throat. "Yeah give me a minute." He got up from the bed running his hand over his face as he reached the door he pulled it open and smiled at the view that greeted him.

Dawn pushed open the door and lay her bag down, it had been a year and a half since Sunnydale was left as nothing but a giant hole in the California earth. Dawn was now 18, finishing up her last year of Highschool, the move to Italy, slowed her down she fell behind, She grunted as she scrambled through her bag grabbing her notebook, a pen and her History book. As she sat on the couch to start her work, the phone began to ring... she quickly jumped up to answer it."Hello?" Dawn giggled breathlessly, as the returned to the 4 bedroom house Buffy and Dawn now called home, Dawn had showed him a few of the local wonders of Rome Italy...such as The Trevi Fountain, and Piazza di Spagna more commonly known as the Spanish Steps. Two of the most beautiful spots rome had to offer. "Thank you for that wonderful tour Miss Summers." Xander jokingly spoke to Dawn, Maybe it was just the sights of the Romantic City... but as Xander looked at Dawn he no longer saw his best friends Kid sister, who he used to babysit and joke with... Instead he saw a beautiful, Mature Young Adult. Xander took in the creature before him, He beautiful bright blue eyes, Her soft glowing complextion which had darkened a bit from the last time he saw her, Her small waist, long legs and voluptuous hips filled her jeans out in all the right places... Xander suddenly snapped back to reality. How could he look at Dawn that way, He had known her since she was a kid, and it was Buffy's little sister. "Whats wrong?" Dawn asked him looking at him with a raised eyebrow, he quickly shook his head saying nothing was wrong he was just tired, "So if its ok with you, I think i'm going to take the next hour or so till Buffy gets home to go rest. Besides looks like you still have homework." Xander replied quickly, smiling and nodding toward her books sprawled out on the coffee table. Dawn sighed, as she looked at her books looking back to Xander and smiling, "Yeah History of Italy is not my best subject." She giggled slightly then wrapped her arms around Xander hugging him tightly agian. "I'm so glad your here Xander. I dont know if i've told you that... but i really am.." Xander smiled as Dawn told him this and wrapped his arms around her hugging her tighter...
