Inspirational moments

I apologize if this has been asked before.

I know a lot of people on here credit the show for helping them through stuff- which moments on both shows did you find the most inspirational?

I'll post mine when I'm not on my phone and therefore easier to type😎

I still, to this day, get teary-eyed in "Chosen" as those girls all over the world are given their Slayer power. When we see the man trying to beat the girl in the trailer and she stands up and stops his hand from hitting her, I get chills. I also can't help but smile as the little girl playing softball gets ready to hit the ball, that knowing smile on her face. It's just so beautifully done and I think that's definitely the moment in the entire series that I find most inspiring.

"Chosen" takes the prize, of course.

But I also always get a thrill at the moment in "Anne" when all the other captives are cowed into answering the question "who are you?" with "nobody" ... and she just looks up at the demon, smiles, and says brightly, "I'm Buffy, the vampire slayer. And you are?"

The final fight from Season 3 is a good inspirational moment too.

But it's definitely "Chosen" on top for me.

There are a number of episodes that I find really inspirational.

The first one I can think of is "Not Fade Away". I love that episode. Just about everything in it I find inspirational, especially the end. The final scene in the alley is just incredible, and Angel's last words of "Let's go to Work" gets me every time.

"Hero" is another one I really like. I don't think they could have come up with a better send off for Doyle if they tried. Doyle's last scene with Angel, where he tells him that he finally truly understands the good fight, and his kiss with Cordelia gives me chills.

"Chosen" is an awesome finale. There are problems with the episode, but metaphorically it's outstanding. THE best soundtrack of any episode of either series. Seriously, the final score in "Chosen" is amazing, and really epic. It starts off awesome with Caleb and Angel and it ends just as good.

"I Will Remember You" and "City Of..." are two others I find really inspirational. I'm a sucker for the moments where the hero isn't afraid to sacrifice everything to do what's right, and that exemplifies Angel perfectly.

I like the answers so far and just want to add others:

Buffy and Dawn crawling out of the hole in "Grave" 6ABB22 to the tune of Sarah McLachlan singing "Prayer of St. Francis" gets me every time.

The beginning of Season 6 in "Bargaining, Part 2" 6ABB02 with buffy raised from the dead, still in her burial clothes, wandering the streets and seeing the violence all around her, looking like she did not belong but getting back into the swing of things by killing demons within a few minutes.

Graduation Day Part II when the graduates rip their gowns off in unison to throw down with the Mayor. Gives me the goosebumps all the time. In today's times when most schools are divided into social statuses galore, to see an entire graduating class pull together as a team is just awe inspiring to me. I wish I had a Buffy at my school when I was in high school. My teen years might have been so much cooler 😛

Love all the posts and they are all great moments.
Personally I like Prophecy Girl - her speech to Giles and Angel whilst not an inspiration itself, then leads into how even though she knows she's going to die, she knows going up against The Master is what she has to do. Dying and then be resuscitated and going back to work again to finish the job. Awesome.

I also think the whole Chosen episode is brilliant. The ending how there is now hope for Buffy and her future and her smile.

I guess what I find the most inspirational is the subtext of the entire show - to keep fighting even though the odds are stacked against you. Even though there are hard times you should never give up and continue to be the best person you can be.

Yep, this show is truly the best🙂
