Basically, what gives you a happy?

Well...maybe not a happy....but what makes you happy if you're having a lousy moment or what makes a good day just that much better for you?

For me it's hearing a song I really like that I haven't heard for ages, getting out of really tight parking spots (you'd understand if you saw the chaos that is our carpark at work), hearing rain and those moments where the boy suddenly just breaks out in a grin for no reason (I'm totally biased...he has a fantastic smile).

So what brightens your day?

Playing with my son, listening to music, getting lost in a good book or movie, spending time with horses...my boyfriend reassuring me that everything will be okay.

I sing and dance, so that usually makes me happy. Especially when done in the most ackward times. Like last year in the middle of chemistry class me and my friends stood up and just started doing the electric slide.

Getting scared usually makes me happy too. There's a lot of scary places in New Jersey (weirdnj.com) and I always go to places from there with friends. I think it's the adrenaline pumping that makes me feel happy...especially when you gotta run from something scary!

And, hey, a good bottle of vodka always brightens up my day!

I study a bit far away from my home-town and I try to go there as many times as I can. If I haven't gone for a while, my happiest moment is when I do arrive, go to the sea and feel its umm energy you know 🙂 . I love the sea *sighs* Always calms me down.

I feel pretty happy if I have done a good deed as well 😀 Like the times I organize the birthdays of my friends and then see their shining faces! It's awesome.

Thinking about, or looking at my pics of my little boys always cheers me up when I feel down. Also, counting my blessings and remembering that there is always someone worse off than me often works to put things in perspective...

Coffee. Mmmmmm. Yum.

I like to watch a favorite movie *cough*Dune*cough*.....or go for a walk or take the kids over to the lake to swim and play. If I'm alone I'll read a book, usually something I can lose myself in.....

omg my brother and my dad are obsessed with that movie... i tried to watch it one time and was just... confused...
SHOPPING!

I seek solace at the mall. 🙂 Nothing makes me happier than new clothes. Like Becky Bloomwood says in the "Shopaholic" book...

" I reckon we wouldn't have wars and such if everyone could always put on new clothes every day"

Talking to special person(s)...walking around with my ipod (altho i cant do that here, unless i want to get hit by a car), Buying a tv boxset and having a huge marathon of tv watching with popcorn and other junk food! That's always awesome. Or finding out about an awesome tv show a few seasons after its been on, then having lotsa time to watch it all in one go...

Wow im a big tv show geek.

Haaaa! I did exactly that with both Buffy and Angel.

OMG, your brother and your dad ROCK! I am totally Fangirl obsessed with Dune......as I'm sure a number of people here will attest to. LOL!

I consider that movie a failure. I like the books, I like Lynch, I like the Dune Miniseries. That was just contrived over production issues.
Even Lynch is deeply disappointed.

I however proudly own it on DVD and enjoy to watch it every now and then.

Let the spice flow.

You know, a lot of people feel that way and then a lot feel like I do....it's really one of those "love it or hate it" things. I definitely love it. Conversely, I'm not that big a fan of the miniseries (altho, I DO proudly own the DVDs and watch it occassionally, LOL!), except that the miniseries followed the storyline of the book much more closely.

Got some new/old/just remembered ones....

Seeing friends you haven't seen for ages.

Shopping with my mum (we're loud, we embarrass each other but it's always just so much fun).

Hugs.

Being able to stay in bed if it's raining when you wake up.

Talking to a family member on the phone. Especially my mom. I usually can't wait for the weekend to get here so I have unlimited minutes to talk to my mom. We were so close and now I live so far away. I used to go visit dad and her like every other day until I moved out my hometown.
