In season 2's episode "HALLOWEEN" when xander is possesed by his costume and it turns him into a soldier , he runs into willow in her new ghostly form and walks straight through her, fine fair enough ,, but as they are talking ,xander sees a demon and raises his gun to shoot it ,willow tells him no and xander replys "move outta the way".
Well he has already walked through her so realises that objects will pass through her yet doesnt want to shoot for risk of harming her ??? is this joss wheddons veiw of the armed forces or a innocent error lmao ??? oh and when willow turns to a ghost her body is left ,laid in the porch of the old ladies house , i think it was a tad lucky she wasnt harmed with all the demons running about an all dontch think ???

I'm surprised that so many little kids dressed up as demons. You'd think that there'd be a bunch of superheroes and pirates running around...

lol billy, your right, never thought about that. I once dressed up as a drag queen how cool would that have been, i wouldnt stop playing with them.

they shoulda been more kids dresses up as superheroes and bunnies,lol..

always,
kim

I think at ethan's shop there weren't any superhero costumes because he didn't want people saving the world.

is there any one that understands what i meant has an intelligent point of veiw on what i said ,, or shall we just talk about what costumes they were wearing ??? no offence to anyone ,, i just realyl didnt want this thread taking that turn !

Didnt you understand the the concept of the episode? it wa son last week (sky one) and the whole ide aof it was to put ethan over as a bad guy... he was selling creppy/scary costumes because he dont want like superman stopping him doe she now. also they bought there costumes from him cause they were cheap and he was doing deals (like with buffys drusilla looking dress) neways he didnt really care about the money he wanted to do the spell.

I think that Xander did ask Willow to move out of the way because of the fact that he was a solider and I'm thinking that it would be drilled into soliders to protect people so it was a reaction to her standing there. I think it was good of Joss to do that, i imagine if he didn't people would be more likely to ask why Xander did put Willow's safety above everything else.

good points buffster6 thanx im glad someone has something intelligent to say and a relevant point instead of endless twitter about the bloody costumes ! please dont take offence but if you want t o talk about the costumes please start a new thread,,, thanx !

Jesse, relax! Yes they were going off-topic, but that's no reason to throw out insults! Now, everyone back on topic....If Xander told Willow to step aside, it was probably as a reflex. As a soldier, he was trained to protect and he wasn't quite used to the whole ghosty thing yet, so my guess is that he just said that out of instinct.

Yeah, but if you were a logical reasonable man, and you just saw a ghost for the first time ever, I doubt you would be thinking about tactics!

Whatever Jesse. I'm sure you would. (Note the sarcasm) All I can say, is I seriously doubt any of us would react with any kind of reason if they saw something that scared the crap out of them....

How would he have taken a sure aim if Willow was in the way?

Surely any army training would tell him not to shoot if he wasn't dead sure of his aim.

Besides, how could you shoot if Willow was standing in front of you? She's just too damn cute and fuzzy.
