A decision has been made to scrap our original concept for the Fanfic Contest since members werent happy with the choice of storyline. Since everyone is excited about the House Cup and wanting to earn points towards it, the prefects have chosen to revamp this competition.

We would like to know what storylines YOU would like to see come to life in a fanfic! The suggestion box is open for business. For the next week (till October 21st), we want to hear your ideas!! It can be for anything, if its a story idea that you are currently working on or an idea that you would like to see come to life. Once we have your ideas, they will be posted in our prospective houses and a new deadline and rules will be set. The winner will earn points for their house (point value TBD). Everyone is invited to participate!

Uhh, sorry to rain on the parade, but you won't please everyone, folks...I vote for the original storyline...but only because I have it mostly written...so I have a vested interest in keeping it as it was. But seriously, you won't get everyone to agree to one plotline...you gotta pick one and stick to it!

Call me a dreamer, but I say, perhaps there is a way to please everyone. Perhaps if you offered multiple choices. For example, something like...

Write a fanfic giving background to one of the following Buffyverse mysteries.

* Spike and his soul, or Spike between the cave, and Sunnydale.

* How much do the citizens of Sunnydale know about the mystical world they live in?

* Why do Sunnydale cops seem so stupid?

* How much does the demon world really know about Buffy, specifically?

* The mysteries of Buffy/Angel vampires. Like how do they smoke, and talk if they don't breath, and why can't they be seen in a mirror if you can take pictures of them? Why would a cross, or holy water bother them if they were around before Christ?

* The geographical mysteries of Sunnydale. How can so much be in such a small place?

* Why put a headstone on Buffy's grave if you want to keep her death a secret?

* What happened at the mystery meeting at an unknown location between Buffy and Angel in Season Six?

* What is the complete strategy of The First in Season 7.

* History of the Scythe.

Stuff like that.

I like this idea, n4h. Giving a couple of suggestions, and then people take their fanfic and run with it. That way, you're not sticking to just one... there's a choice!

Plus, those people who already started and put time into the first one, can still have theirs.

KD you may keep the original storyline, since you have been soo diligent in your efforts.. thank you!!!! Take your time on this, since we will be moving the deadline.


Sorry if I wasnt clear on the revamp, but we will take all suggestions that are given and then choose several of them for the contest. Thanks in advance to everyone!!!
 
not sure if this idea is any good, nor if it's realistic, but im willing to give posting it up here a shot: what if when warren shot tara, willow pushed her out of the way and was shot instead, thus willow died and tara lived?

hmmm i like your idea n4H that way everyone can work off something and its still within the box of ideas you have been set with and then its from there you think outside the box with your own 😀 i dont know any ideas atm, im so not good with fan fics.. read mine and you'll understand.. maybe an idea could be based on a 'ship thats never yet happened? and explore? meh i dont know.. 😀 i try :silly:.

I have a suggestion that could be interesting.

The Story can be set anywhere within the run of Buffy HOWEVER, it must not go against canon. It must utilize at least 2 of the characters from the show AND the author must also take one member of Buffy Boards and incorporate them in the story.

OR

Alternate Reality Buffy, say a continuation of The Wish or Normal Again.

Ohh, I have an interesting Idea regarding Buffy being broken out of the Asylum by the Scoobs.

Or crossover Fic. You are given a list of say 10 shows that are completely different to Buffy and Angel and mixing them.

However, I feel I should point out I have been writing a story following the original rules so i'm totally fine with keeping it that.

i like Al's idea of incorperating a BB member...can't you just imagine VG actually getting it on with Cordy!! lol
this has been one of my favourite ideas so far, and i'd be really happy to give this a shot.

Wow, I would print that story and read it to my grandchildren when I'm older 8D..
You know, if I could write, I would totally enter this. But sorry for my house, I cannot write for like, a donut. Which is a big deal.
 
My writing's most definetly not helpful. But if I can whip something up at some point then I will enter anyway...

Hmmm...well, since some of my stuff has featured members of the BB, I guess I could manage that...I love doing this kinda stuff, incorporating members (or making them corpses...😉)
