I was up late tonight watching a broadcast of the movie 'Powder' and saw the most interesting thing. Near the end of the movie there is an emotional scene with the Sheriff's mother as she lies on her death bed. The mother's wedding ring is taken out and displayed to the camera. It is the ring Angel gave Buffy. Identical in every respect. A heart with two hands and a crown-looking thingy on the top. I wonder if this is in fact the same identical ring (a left-over prop perhaps?) or if it is just a commonly sold item?

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting enough to mention in passing. 😛
 
total prop...i seen the exact same tat on two different shows...i was dissapointed...

Ironically, the next line of dialogue in the movie Powder after they give you a good look at the ring is "She thinks I'm an angel.."
 
Yeah, I have a friend who has the exact same ring, and she doesn't even watch Buffy. Chances are it's been around for a while and BtVS just used the idea.
 
It's a traditional Irish ring, and when Angel gave it to Buffy in BtVS Season 2, he explained exactly what it was. What he said wasn't fiction, it is in fact true. I have one in gold, and i'm having a hard time finding a silver one which i really want!!!
