I agree. If I had the chance to go back and take back what I said, I wouldn't. I felt that i should have said that, so I did.

But what's done is done, so we should all move on, get back to discussing better things, such as things to do with Buffy and Angel and Tru Calling. Or smurfs, like you said Original Slayer 🙂

*sigh* I'm sure everyone has heard the saying 'if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all' lets just try and go by that.

WHAT?! The mods have lives! When did this happen? 😉 Just kidding, ya guys do SO much, it would seem very near to impossible to have families or jobs.

I don't like smurfs. They really need to update their fashion sense. 😉

I think one of the problems that people have is how their posts sound in their head and how they come out. I know a lot of people who joke around with not too nice of words, but always have a micheivous grin on their face to know they are always joking. When it comes out typed, it seems serious. And if you add: 🙂 it'll just be too creepy looking.
 
That's why I always put "LOL" with my posts so that people know that I'm joking and not being dead serious about it. Not saying everyone needs to do that, or put smilies, but what you raised about how you say it and how it comes up online is a good point.
 
I hope this gets worked out soon, and the disrespect on these boards can stop. The moderators don't need to deal with it, in fact, they shouldn't have to. The shouldn't give their time, money, and effort just to see disrespect like what has recently been occuring here.

Agreed...and at the risk of sounding corny, the staff here really put their hearts into making this a nice place, and I know I've gotten a little snippy from time to time...and I'm sorry. Neither the mods or anyone else should have to put up with any kind of rude behavior, and like Hero said, could a :happy53: or a :: tu :: after a "joking" post really be that hard?
 
Ok well in terms of members fighting I think that appologies are needed at this point. Some people may want to put this situation in the past and just forget about it but others may not want to. I don't exactly know what happened to bring about this thread but I think all who were involved need to be appologizing to who ever they were yelling at, cussing at, whatever. But I think in order to get past this, this needs to happen.

All mods get a standing ovation from me, I think they are doing a great job with having to put up with all of the disrespect that they are getting.

I've noticed that there has been a lot of this stuff lately. I just hope that we can all forget these events and keep the BB as friendly and family-based as possible. I hate to see fights going on. Keep the peace people. There is really no need to argue. We are all mature and lovely folk (well... 99.999999% of us! 😀).
 
Due to circumstances i've not really been around here much (should be back to normal this week). As Buffy said in her post, it is nice when we get supported, as we put a lot of work into this site. I've been coming up to the library for an hour a day (thats all they will let me) in some of the most awful weather we have seen in Scotland. Why? Because I wanted to check on things, I trust the staff completely and know that they can handle anything but I still like to be connected and play a part.

Recently there has been more animosity on here than i've seen since its creation and I for one and happy in the fact that you are taking steps to discuss it and deal with it, otherwise it will just keep building and building as it has been.

Right time up gotta go!

P.S Thanks to all who have been playing with Riddick for me to keep his pleasure up!
