Hey everyone in honour of Be Nice on the Internet week I though it would be nice for us to get to know each other better 🙂 I know it's hard to remember that we're all people behind the computer screen and username and I know being a fairly new member myself that I don't know a lot of you very well. So I suggest so that we can all get to know each other better we could post some info about ourselves. It's up to you what you'd like to share but please may I remind you not to share anything too personal for safety reasons.

I'll start:

My name is Linzi. I'm 23 and live in the UK. I have been a Buffy fan for approximately 13 years. My fave characters are Buffy, Faith Cordy, Giles and Angel. I ship Cangel and Bangel somewhat contradictarory I know 😉 I chose my username based on my favourite Buffy episode. Some of you may already know that I'm studying to be a nurse and I work with the elderly also. I love Buffy Boards, Fantasy Shopper and Facebook. I love to shop for anything fashion wise. My guilty pleasure is stationary. I'm a perfectionist as well. I like to read loads of books although I don't always get time lately and I'm addicted to photoshop.
My goals in life so far are to be happy, be more tolerant, graduate and go to America.
My motto is always be your best so that you never disappoint yourself and to try and live each day as it comes because you never know when it could be your last.

Please share your info if you have the time so that we can all get to know each other better.

I'm game. A lot of people on here know me, but for those that don't:

I'm Jenn. I'm 23, and I live in Ohio, in the US. I quit my job in August of 2010 to help take care of my grandmother who has dementia. She stays in her home and my mom and I switch off taking care of her. I've been into Buffy since I was about 12, and I was so happy to find this forum. My username comes from my love for Willow, my favorite character.
I'm in school to be a paralegal. My first boss told me I'd make a great lawyer because I question everything, but I'd prefer to be on the research side, rather than the arguing side. I love to read, and usually read three or four books at the same time. I switch between them.
I love photoshop. I've been using it since I was 9, and then kinda stopped when I was about 14. I got into going to concerts instead. I've been to over 200 concerts in my life. I really love live music. All music, really. I'm big into the Beatles, Marilyn Manson, and a whole list that's too long to put here! I always have a song stuck in my head. Right now, it's a Katy Perry song called Hummingbird Heartbeat.
I live my life by a few dogmas: Everything happens for a reason, Anger is not productive, and you can't change the past, so why regret it? I think you should always be proud of the things you've done, and the mistakes you've made because they make you who you are.
I'd love to get to know a lot of you better. 🙂

I'm Kim a 24 year old English girl, I don't really ship strongly but my favourites are Cangel and Spangel. I hate writing about myself so this will be short! I am currently in training to be a care worker with the elderly, hopefully I should start that by the end of the month. Thanks to this site I have taken up making fanart, I'm not that good at it but I enjoy doing it. Err what else to say.. I really don't like doing these things! I'm Miki and I'm 25 years old. I live in the second biggest city in Sweden with my husband in a cosy 2 bedroom apartment. I'm really passionate about changing social injustices and am studying to be a socialworker. In my spare time I like to hang out with my friends, read books (I started a feminist bookclub last year, so I read a lot of books in that that we discuss), listen to music (my favourite bands are Tegan and Sara and The smiths) and be geeky in all kind of ways, usually by watching or talking about tv shows. Buffy is my favourite show ever of course, but Twin peaks, Star trek TNG, Queer as folk UK and Glee comes pretty close too. 🙂

My name is Marshall. I'm 20 years of age. I based my username on one of my favorite songs, and Faith's theme song, "Living Dead Girl". I was born and raised in the USA's capital, Washington, D.C. I'm pretty sick of it, actually. I can't wait until I move to Los Angeles. I'm a film buff, and I've written about five feature length films. Performing has always been in my blood. I've been singing ever since I was little. My childhood inspirations were The Backstreet Boys, N'sync, and Britney Spears (tell no one). I was raised during the bubblegum pop craze in the late 90's, I couldn't help it. 😀 But my musical tastes grew as quickly as various parts of my body, so my musical tastes are as broad as the sea. I'm in love with all genres of music, from R&B, Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Electronic, you name it. But I'm old school at heart, so most of my playlists are classic rock artists and classic R&B singers. I was in a ska punk band, but we recently seperated mutually due to different interest in our lives, but I'm still on the search for a new one. I want to become a professional recording artist someday, so look out for my name in the future! I'll put Buffy Boards on the map, baby! 😀

I'm Laura and I live in western PA, in the US. I kinda like it here. There's lots of trees. I like trees. They are pretty.

I work at a tiny, tiny hotel which is kind of awesome. I have a side business as a seamstress making medieval and civil war era clothing.

And I'm in a band playing guitar, keyboards, and mandolin. I pretty much breath music. Can't really do much without it.

And I'm an artist. Man have I got a long list of labels for myself. . . Geez.

And I read like a crazy fiend. Oh and I game . . .a lot. . . lol . . .What it really comes down to, is that I really, really don't like being bored.

That's sort of how I found this forum to begin with. Sitting at the hotel . . . being bored . *lightbulb* "Why don't I search for a Buffy Forum!?!?!" 😀

Disclaimer: I did not mean to write that much... you don't have to read all of it if you don't want to... it's just I love talking about myself. I'm an interesting person.

I'm Zoà«. I'm 20. I'm a TV enthusiast. I'm a little bit weird... and by a little bit, I mean a lot. I'm an awkward person... but that's ok. I like it. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. I do love this city. I will be leaving it for Greensboro (for school) and LA (for work) in the next ten years... but I do love it.

My mom is full blooded Greek, which makes me half Greek. Her family lives in Raleigh (this is where she grew up) whereas my dad's family lives in Ohio and Arkansas (and one aunt and cousin in California), so I was raised with my Greek culture being the primary culture I identified with. The movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding is an accurate portrayal of my mother's side of the family.

I like my dad's side of the family much better though. My mom's side of the family is so competitive... but my dad's is not. I'm very not competitive... so they make more sense to me. It's not about being the best to them, it's about being your best.

My parents both have health issues, which can get overwhelming at times. My mom has MS. It's a crippling disease and it hurts everyone in the person's life. Seeing her be in the amount of pain she is, and it never stops. And all I can do is hug her and tell her I love her. It gets hard. My dad is a cancer survivor. Saying that always fills me with more pride than I could ever explain. Fun story about my dad's cancer (I know that sounds mean, but trust me). My dad's family was always kind of split. My aunts and my uncles. They talked to each other, but usually not much. And none of my dad's siblings were very close with my dad. But when he got cancer, they all came to visit him. (It was hard because our house was essentially a hotel). I never knew my father's side could come together like that. It made me proud to call myself one of them, and it was really the second time in my life I ever felt really a part of my dad's side of the family. From then on though, I never stopped. 🙂

If you couldn't tell by now, I'm a lot like Ted from HIMYM... when I talk, I talk a lot. I'm very long winded and often give out what most people consider to be too much information for the purpose I'm trying to achieve.

My favorite food is ham and cheese melted sandwiches. My GOD they are good. OOH I live off of diet coke. Seriously, you can always find me with a diet coke in my hand... I rarely drink anything else. And I'm super clumsy. I often spill every drink I open. (think that's an exaggeration? Ask [MENTION=11012]LoveLoveLovix[/MENTION].)

My idea of a perfect night with my friends is hanging out playing apples to apples or uno and watching TV. OOOH when I get obsessed with something, I'll often never stop talking about it. Because my biggest obsession is TV in general, you'll often hear me make random TV references. Most of the time, they're lost on people, but every once in a while, someone gets it. Speaking of my TV obsession... I'll often relate situations in my life to situations on TV and say out loud "this is like that time in ___ when ___ and ___ did ____." What can I say? I like TV.

My favorite animal is the lion. It is my spirit animal. That says a lot about me... because I am essentially a lion at heart. Seriously, it sounds hokey, but I read about lions and lion personality traits, and I strive to be like them. It's not hard because lions are so awesome, we're so similar already... but... That's also how I know VH was the right house for me and the sorting tome is genius. The animal is the lion. I said that when I was first sorted, but it's kind of been my absolute favorite thing about VH since the first time I looked in the dorm. 🙂

I want to be a TV writer and eventually a showrunner. I think I'll be awesome at it and I cannot wait to see my name under "created by" at the end of the opening credits for a hit primetime drama. I am going to take the TV world by storm.. Just you wait.

Anything else anyone wants to know, ask. I'm an open book. I really am. I don't ever do this thing that most people do where they change themselves based on their setting. I am me. Sometimes, it's hard to find people who like me... but I'm always me. I hate the concept of changing for "reputation." Your reputation is literally what you are known for. I would like to be known for me and all of my characteristics. I love me. I didn't always, but I do now. And I'm not ashamed of any part of me. The flaws and the not so flawed. So I'll never had it from anyone.

TV: I shockingly love Buffy & Angel (IKR?) as well as Lost. I'm addicted to Survivor and Big Brother. Video Games: Mario Kart Wii & Super Smash Bros.
My username is short for X-Men's Shadowcat. Also known as Kitty Pryde, ironically the character Joss had inspiration for while creating Buffy. So it comes as no surprise to me that I ended up liking the show. 😀 But yes, I love Marvel.
My favorite character from Buffy is obviously Anya. She cracks me up, even when she is just making gestures. Cordelia & Doyle are my favorite characters from Angel. Doyle was such a great character whose time was cut way too short!
Randomness; My family has a bunch of cats. There were 4...but one of them got pregnant and bam they doubled into 8. 😱

I like most music. Rock, alternative, rap are my favs. Been trying to go to some concerts, but not finding much out there. I love them though. Evanescence and Three Days Grace/Breaking Benjamin were the best concerts out of all of em.

I'm Kristine, 22 years old, and from Germany, more or less. I actaully consider myself more European than really German, mostly because I've been all over the place; my mom's Russian, I go to university in the Netherlands, nevertheless most of the time live in Belgium, spent all of last summer in England...you get the picture. Also, I don't think I want to go back to Germany after uni, maybe Berlin, but I'm leaning more towards England.

Last year, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and now I'm currently working on my Master's degree. My specialization is Health and Social Psychology.

I really like to go to town and party. On a typical Saturday night we'll be staying out til 7:30am. I know all the partying is probably not that good for me (especially combined with the excessive alcohol consumption we usually got going), but hey, this is my last year of university, so I intend to keep this up til I'll graduate and it's time to get a grown-up job and everything.
Other than that, I like to learn languages. I've been fascinated by languages for ages, and I get a kick out of learning new words in a language and suddenly understanding a little bit more of any given text.
Like most people probably, I like music. I don't have any talent in that area whatsoever, but just listening is really fun. My favourite music is just basic 70's and 80's style pop and rock, although I listen to other stuff too.
I used to like reading, but not anymore. Somehow, after I've spent all day over my university text books, I lack the motivation to read even more.
I do like to watch TV shows and movies. With movies, I really have a preference for old movies. I like the glamour of Hollywood's golden era. I watch a lot of different TV shows....here's a list: Buffy, Angel, Charmed, the X-Files, Star Trek, The Nanny, Doctor's Diary, That 70's Show, Misfits, Friends and How I Met Your Mother. I don't watch all of these at the same time, but there are the ones I enjoy coming back to and watching reruns of.

I love wikipedia, have a thing for the French, the British, Japan and America. I'd like to travel a lot more, cos the world is just a really cool and interesting place. Seriously, yesterday I saw some pictures of Hawaii on the telly, and it's just really amazing how diversified and fascinating the Earth is.

Hiya! I'm Tabitha Katherine, but people call me Tabby! I'm eighteen and one-sixth years old, I live in Georgia (the one in the US), and I am a junior in high school.

I'm a super-talkative and eccentric person. I adore telling stories. In fact, I want to be a writer at some point in my life, though I don't exactly plan on it (if I do write, great; but I want to go to college for something different). I finished my first novel at age sixteen, but recently realized it's abysmal, so I rarely give out the link (if you really want to read my horribleness, it's easy enough to do some digging on google. Trust me).

I go to an incredibly odd, artsy high school- the VHers know all about that due to my sudden and silly installments of "Tabby Tells About Her Artsy High School." Most recently, three Choir kids broke into a harmonized rendition of "Moves Like Jagger" in the school hallways. That's pretty much my school in a nutshell. Most of us are fairly musical, and if not, we're some other kind of artsy. Personally, I'm a vocal girl. I'm in the advanced Women's Ensemble group and I adore it.

I'm a compete klutz- though not in the same way [MENTION=10363]zobothehobo[/MENTION] is. I tend to trip and stumble and fall and cut myself. Yesterday, I skinned my knuckle on the freezer door while getting ice cream. For me, nothing is 100% risk free, but I do okay.

I don't like to brag, but one of my talents is computers, software, and media. I'm considering pursuing it as a career of some kind when I leave high school. I am a 2011 International Student Media Festival winner and Judge's Favorite- my project "Rawr!!! Ima Dragon!" was a parody fantasy roleplaying game that made references to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Winx Club and Redwall. I had so much fun with it! I can't wait to blow everyone away again this year. I'm aiming for Best In Festival. The only problem with this talent is that everything electronic that I touch seems to die. The computer I'm using now only runs in safe mode. It's a curse for a girl like me!

Sure...why not.

I'm 18, I love cheese, and I am extremely passionate about the art of film, music, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I can sort of play the piano, but other than that I kind of suck when it comes to actually making music, but I'd probably be dead without it (music does not exist in freaking Pylea, how did Fred's head not explode or implode or...something). I'm probably the weirdest person that you will ever encounter. I seem pretty normal at first but you'll get a taste of my...erm, eccentricities sooner or later.

I love to write. Just the act of typing or writing is just, so relaxing. I prefer to write with an actual pen or pencil though. I get way too excited when we have to take notes in class. I wrote like a paragraph in everyone's yearbook senior year. Some random guy I hardly knew asked me to sign his and I froze because I knew nothing about him. I wrote this long strange story about a conversation that I had near him once. Yeah. He'll never forget me. I'm sarcastic probably...90% of the time. I try to tone it down online, but hey, it's just who I am. Plus, it exercises my brain. Knowledge is power. I'm also a huge fan of dark humor and disturbing....anything. I like to test my limits. So far, not one movie, book, anecdote, or television show has been too "dark" or "disturbing" for me to handle. And I've seen Antichrist. If any of you are like me in this regard, and if you write or come across something you find just, horrifying, please share it with me 🙂 I'm not a psychopath and/or sociopath I promise. Yikes, I'm making just a grand first impression aren't I? I like abnormal...stuff, does that sound better?

I'm also quite fond of steampunk. Is it a subculture? I don't know. I just like looking at all of the inventions and crap. I use "crap" as a figure of speech. Does that make sense? I find myself asking that way too often. I'm convinced that nothing I say ever makes any sense. Okay, I'm done.

Oh, and I'm kind of obsessed with ellipses......good day.

You can call me Ben (almost everyone does, even though that's not my passport name... which I'm not telling you anyway as I don't like to be called by it), I'm 37, gender-fuzzy, unemployable on grounds of psychological reasons, which also lead to the internet pretty much being the only social life I have (I've done away with real life contacts six years ago as it only ever leads to trouble). I'm generally a weird person, but some peeps apparently find me amusing. 😛

Aside from Buffy and Firefly, I'm into lots of horror, scifi, and fantasy. I spend most of my days computer gaming (free-to-play MMOs mostly, in recent years, but a sizeable collection of offline games too).
