iOS, Android, neither

The company I work for develops apps for smartphones & tablets and while we started developing for both Android and Apple devices, the company has decided to prioritise iPhone and iPad development, over their Android counterparts.

This is mainly due to the fact it's easier to support iOS products, as the variations of Android and devices has, quite frankly, been a nightmare for our support teams. We test the products on as many Android devices as we can, but they're all so different, that we're finding it works on one phone, but not another.

Just wondered what the consensus was on here. Do you have an iPhone or an Android phone? Or something completely different, like Windows Phone, Blackberry, Symbian or something else entirely?

Android. Have always had android (mobiles and tablets), so can't really comment or judge too harshly on Apple or Windows.

Edit: I like to eat apples next to windows?

I've Android, iOS and Fire. iOS is certainly the easiest for app development.

Android phone and tablet, here, and while I do have an iPod, I walked away from iPhones about 5 years ago. There's just something about Android that I like a lot more.

Android phone, Windows laptop, and a Fire tablet for me. I prefer Android over Apple from what I've seen of the iPhone, although I like Apple computers for everything but playing games. I've got an Alienware laptop for that, but I think I'd go for a different gaming laptop next time.

Sorry, short answer is Android. 😀

I've both an iPhone and an Android phone.
I do tend to use the iPhone more than the Android for writing notes, surfing etc.
But that's more out of old habit than anything else. These days I don't think it's that much difference between them.

I've heard exactly the same thing from someone that works on company that develop apps.
And even though there are a lot more Android phones out there they still sell more copies and make a lot more money on iOS .

I have an iphone and I hate it. Before that I had simple nokia phones. I do not have good internet or a completely functional computer and limited data on the iphone - it cannot be updated as regularly as it wants and constantly lags.

I hadnt had a touchscreen before the iphone and I hate that too - although a bigger screen may eliminate some issues.

I am in the market for a new phone and a new laptop. I am leaning towards samsung but its so much more evolved than when I was last looking.

Sometimes we argue, my phone and I, but that's usually when the iOS has been updated and is being wonky. All in all I love the iPhone, this is my third. (Before iPhone there was a Motorola flip-phone that I'll admit I still miss! Much more satisfying with the flipping rather than the touchscreen 😀)
