Is Angel a better fighter now? Isn't he stronger now?

I felt that Angel wasn't showing how physically powerful he can be in the last 2 seasons. I mean, he is after all a vampire..in fact, he is a vampire that has tasted Slayer blood, therefore, Angel should look more dominant in his fight scenes.

I dunno, have him show off more of his vampire capabilities (The jumping boost thing, supersonic speed and advanced agility.

People like that sort of thing y'know. The lead HAS to look and fight powerfully...it brings the audience in.
 
I think it's because there have never been any physically threating enemies on Angel ... I mean Buffy had to square of against Adam, Glory, Darth Rosenberg en an army of Demons. At the same time Angel had ... the Beast and Jasmine ... not much to show off.
 
I loved the wall moves he did. Jumping up the walls taking down all the bad guys. The jump wall kick was great! The there was the one where he grabbed the bad guys neck and ran up the wall kicking another guy and then snapped the neck of the one he was holding. That was the best. I don't care if they do have a large budget cut. Its fantastic.
 
I noticed a lot more toughness in Angel. Every once in a while, I'll catch old eps of Buffy, when Angel tries to help out. He gets the guts kicked out of him most of the time. It's kinda funny. But you look at him now...and he's the toughest guy around. Pretty sweet.
 
He's trained with the Slayer, drank Slayer blood, and fought hundreds of monstors in his unnaturally long life. No wonder he's tough. Not to mention the emotional pains he went through.
 
I agree with Nerd 4 Hire. Angel is a bad @ss vamp who just needs to be tested to show how strong and kick @ss he actually is.

Not for nuthin', but The Beast and Jasmine weren't exactly pushovers.
 
I think they have more than demonstrated Angel is a way above average vampire. Most the vampires in the Buffy-verse are pansies 😉
 
i know like in the ep "crush" there was like a pack of vamps against buffy and spike and they all ran away
 
I suppose..

They have shown him look dominant a bit. Especially season 1.
 
Angel should be the most powerful fighter for good in the Buffyverse. I think he's past Buffy now. But he shouldn't have supersonic speed, and I'd have rather seen him do more jumps than swing on ropes.
 
No way, Spike and Willow should be way stronger, Spike having killed two slayers, and Willow, well no need to explain.
 
I agree...Remember, Buffy, Faith, and Spike went against Caleb and did not fair well, but Angel knocked him across the room with one punch.
 
I mean yeah, Willow can do more big scale damage, but in a straight fight, Angel doesn't need to do incantations and such to take someone out.
 
I miss those awesome season 4 fight scenes..the ones when he was angelus...the one where faith shot herself up with the orpheus..that was an amazingly set up fight...and the rain of fire one rocked too. We need more of that!
