Is Angel a better fighter now? Isn't he stronger now?

Okay, so Angel can beat the living crap out of anything without breaking a sweat. Where's the fun in that? Don't we need to see our hero on the ropes now and then? Just to let us know that he still is vulnerable despite being an almost indestructable vampire. Let him get bloodied up a little bit from time to time.
 
no one said he's anywhere near indestructable. That's something I rather like about him. He can get staked through the neck, but he still goes out and fights creatures that are much stronger than him.

Angel took Caleb by surprise. And even both Buffy and Spike managed to take Caleb by surprise . . . eventually in "Dirty Girls".

Angel can beat the living crap out of anything? He can't beat Buffy. He even has trouble with Faith. And I think he will have trouble with Spike.
 
trouble with Spike? Unlikely. Anyone remember "in the DarK" as in, Angel beat up Spike and made him run away for backup? And look at what's happened since then. Spike has become the Slayer's sidekick, living the easy life in his swanky crypt. Angel has been almost non stop fighting, including trips to demon dimensions, fighting the Beast (who was, in my opinion, up there with Glory) and Jasmine.

that doesn't surprise me..
I know Angel has beaten Spike before, but Spike has been kicking daily ass with buffy for a while, and Angel has been kinda laid back and not as aggressive in his fighting. BUT
that one scene where angel fights the wolfram and heart goons in just rewards was great, I hope they continue to pull more action scenes into Angel this season.
 
Angel has been more laid back? Hardly. Anyone else remember "Peace Out"? He went into a demon dimension, fought off their greatest warrior, came back to our reality, and fought Jasmine, a former PTB. All in one episode.
 
Yes but most of that wasn't shown, and DB has been looking stiff in his fight scenes. Spike has fluent movements and has just looked better fighting. As far as the Characters go Angel SHOULD be better, but he doesn't look like it as of late. Like I said I wouldn't be surprised if Angel gets beaten by Spike, not that I am saying for sure it should happen. Just the way DB has been in his fight scenes makes it harder to believe Angel would hands down beat Spike. Don't get me wrong I am an Angel fan after all.. It's just my opinion.
 
most of it wasn't shown? Don't you remember him climbing a gigantic mountain, fighting off that demon warrior while arguing verbally with the high priest guy, and then him fighting it out with Jasmine in the streets of LA?
 
Killing a slayer isn't supposed to make you stronger. Also, according to Spike, the only reason he was able to kill those slayers was because they wanted to die.
