this may sound verry stupid of me but when he got electricuted his heart started ... did it stop again or is he now alive ?? sorry if this is explained in season 5 i havent got seen those ones yet.

He's still an undead vampire. His heart only restarted because Gwen shocked him with her electricity. Once she stopped touching him, or shocking him, his heart went back to it's non-beating state.

I think it's like what they do at the hospital, with this strange electrical plates or whatever they are to revive patients. As far as I know they're giving them electroshocks, hoping that the patients heart will start beating again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Well, and in the case of a over 200 year old vampire I think every kind of help came a little too late.

Angel is human, he turned human during the fight after 'Not Fade Away'. He is using a glamour spell to appear to be a vampire to everyone, but he is human in After the Fall.
