Question Is Angel from "Time Bomb" onwards not the same Angel as the past seasons and in BtVS?

Seems to me like the Angel, on OUR timeline, the same timeline from Season 1 Buffy to Season 5 Angel was killed by Illyria.

When Illyria unintentionally warped time again, she even mentioned something that "this Angel" was the "past" Angel, not of the present timeline one that she just killed.

So does this mean that our Angel, that we knew, was actually gone, and this new "past" Angel was the one running the show from "Time Bomb" forwards?

Of course, this isn't just limited to Angel. Spike and everyone else got killed too. But since, you know, this is Angel's show, I focused on him.

Your thoughts?
 
It makes sense to me that it is the Angel that she pulled through time, that version of him with whatever knowledge he had. I don't think it is significant to the rest of the show except that he is alive rather than dead...
