Is Angel lying about his age? I thought only women and minors do that.

I was just having a random thought. Does anyone lse realize that they have been misrepresenting Angel's actual age? Sure he may be around 250 in Earth time, but I thought that he spent over 800 years in Hell. Wouldn't he be over 1000 years old? Just because he was only gone a couple of months "our" time, 800 years did pass for him, meaning that he is, technically, 1000. And at what age do the vampires become cloven? Is he close?
Please comment on this. Does anyone else agree?
 
I'm sure he'd be round 1000 in Hell dimension,but on earth I doubt it..Earth and Hell have their own rules and besides that he needs time to redeem himself..But your theory is really interesting...
 
Yeah,he might be around 1000 years old,so what?,he's still hot and smart😀,...I don't think his laying about it,he just doesn't count the years in Hell,just like Buffy doesn't count hers in Heaven
