Is Dru... still undead?

They say that The First can only take form of dead people. It pretends to be both Drusilla and the Master, and since the latter is destroyed, does that mean she is too? Or can it take form of the undead too and she's well?

Not necessarily. The First also took Buffy's form and she's alive and well (for the most part). It also took on Spike's form when Spike was the sleeper agent. So my take is that the First can take the form of someone who has died, not destroyed as such.

I'm sure someone can probably explain it better than me so I'll just leave it at that.

technically, a vampire is a walking, talking corpse, a dead person. The First Evil can take on the form of any dead person, regardless of how long they stayed dead and in what condition they came back in: Buffy returned pretty much how she went, except with a 'Deep, deep molecular tan' and Spike and Dru came back as vampires.

Dru hasn't died, the Vampiric beast within has been 'alive' since she took over the human body, it was who Dru was before that has died so how does 'The First' take on the form of a Vampire?

Yeah thats about Buffy though, this is about Dru.

The two topics are different because of the situations of both.

If you want to raise your Dru point there and continue it, fine have a good go, but this thread is something slightly different to that one.

I pointed it out because the nature of the First and the dead people it was able to mimic (including vampires) were discussed there. That seems to be where this discussion is going, as well, and the points brought up in the "How Did. . . ." thread may help here. I wasn't trying to shut down this thread or anything. I'm hoping that I'm just reading snarkiness into the words on the screen and they weren't meant to come out that way, because it really wasn't called for.

No 'snarkiness' was intended, merely pointed out that they are two differing topics.

The 'Buffy' one was about why she was 'The First' when clearly she was alive.
This one is dealing with Drusilla and what happened to her. We have no way of knowing if she is undead or dead when this came, so maybe the First was able to take her form because Dru was truly gone.

The Buffy thread also begins to muddle away from the central topic as many things are brought into it, where as this one is wanting to deal specifically with Drusilla.

Its not like opinions can't be discussed in differing threads on here, in fact it's welcomed.

I thought I might be reading more into your words (which does happen a lot online, since we don't have facial expressions or vocal tones to go by) simply because I'm not feeling well, which is making me grouchy, which made me project the same grouchiness onto your words. I know, I just figured that some of the points raised over there might also be helpful over here. I know that I for one hate repeating myself and I had a whole huge post about vampires (Dru in particular) over on the other thread. Rather than repost it here, I'm pointing over there.

If you learn anything at all about me in my posts, it will be that if i'm being snarky and pissy, i'll nto only tell you about it, i'll constantly make sarcastic comments and basically beat you down until i'm the winner - or maybe just believe I am.
