Is Glory Dead?

Yes, exactly.

That is purely speculation on your part.

And what evidence does the show actually give us. Nothing. If they gave us something tangible then the word of a man who has no credentials other then leading an army of misguided men who don't even agree with the Monks.
It might be speculation but its based on what is shown on screen.

WILLOW: You know Buffy"” sweet girl, not that bright.

LOL. But Gregor could have said something like: "Well, Kill not exactly. Just make her non corporeal". Or something to that effect if Buffy was wrong.

Well, Gregor is a fanatic, of sorts. His purpose is to fight the beast. So he must have plenty of knowledge about her..... 'Cept that bit about her only weakness. We know the Dagon Sphere has adverse affects on Glory. The Troll-God hammer also done a fair amount of damage.

I think he meant her only weakness as in DEATH!

That is a fact from the series she was banished from her world, The textual evidence is there, That is what happened!!

That is one thing from one man.
Fact is, the show has often had one train of thought that everyone has believed, then something has happened to change that theory.

If you limit yourself to whats said but ignore the fact things change then that leaves no room for discussion.

I think he meant her only weakness as in DEATH!

Two Key words.......I THINK

Well yeah. We're all just saying what we think. You think her essence still exist, I think she's dead.

I know this, but just pointing out that your points are just as valid or invalid as any of ours.
"That is purely speculation on your part." Comments like this Kinda suggest that my theory holds NO water with you because you dont believe it. Fair enough i dont wish to change minds, just wish them to be open to possibilities as the show is based on that.

Well I didn't mean it like that. It's just that you discredited something that was said to actually happen.
But strong enough to join together and dismiss her from the Dimension they were in and place he in the Prison of Ben?

This was what happend it's not "superstition".

GREGOR: Such was her power. They feared she would attempt to seize their dimension for herself, and decided to strike first. A great battle erupted. In the end, they stood victorious over the beast ... barely. She was cast out. Banished to this lower plane of existence, forced to live and eventually die trapped within the body of a mortal ... a newborn male, created as her prison. That is the beast's ... only weakness.

They are strong enough to create a life, but not take one away. Frankly, that idea sounds absurd.

We have the word of one man. No one else backs up his claims. There are many MANY people within the verse that could and should gather this evidence.
No one should ever take just the word of a man.
We have no evidence to back him up.
Thats my point, we blindly follow his words, then whats the point. He could tell us She was the Off-Spring of Big Bird and Kermit the Frog, you would believe him because he said, no you would want more evidence....though granted her Hair does resemble something 'Muppet' like.......
All the other major facts in the show are verified from numerous sources....except this one.

They didn't make Ben. They just placed Glory in him.

Gronx: And if you did ... what then? Could you do it? (Ben looks annoyed) Take a human life with your own hands? (comfortingly) Oblivion is such a small inconvenience in the service of a deity. Accept your fate. I mean, you said it yourself. This life was never really yours anyway, was it?
Ben: It doesn't matter how I came by it. It's mine. And I plan on keeping it.

I was under the impression Ben was created by the other two hell-gods.

But there is back up! Gregor say's she will die if Ben is Killed, the the first is walking around looking like her, and it can only do that with dead people!

And ben was created just to hold Glory:

Gregor: "A newborn male, created as her prison"

Well yeah I agree that you shouldn't just believe what one man says, but I don't see a reason why he would lie about this. Plus he did say things that were true and not from "superstistion"

GREGOR: You have seen a glimpse of the true beast. Her power was too great to be completely contained. She's found a way to escape her mortal prison ... for brief periods, before her energies are exhausted and she's forced back ... into her living cell of meat and bone.

and if it was superstition it was true. So why not believe the other things he says about glory?

And ben was created just to hold Glory:

Yeah I saw that. But still when he says "created" I take it as this was his purpose not that the other hellgods made him.

I think he meant that in the sense of Glory being able to overcome him and surface.

Yeah I saw that. But still when he says "created" I take it as this was his purpose not that the other hellgods made him.

Yeah actually thats pretty unspecific, they could be saying, they made him as her prison, or that they made him into her prison after he was born, didn't look at it like that!

Who said he was lying, he may have believed that, just like Angel believed it was impossible for two Vampires to have a Child.
Its not even a matter of superstition, it could just be he has come to this conclusion through his own views.

As for the First in the Guise of Glory, we don't know how that works on anything other then human.
