Is it Faith's fault that Spike got interested in Buffy? I know in the flashback with Drusilla Spike appeared to be interested in her before season 4 but do you think that Faith's speech to him when she was in Buffy's body may have made him realise it quicker?

Even tough Spike was already attracted to Buffy, I most definitely think that Faith-Buffy telling him "I could ride you at a gallop until your legs buckled and your eyes rolled up. I've got muscles you've never even dreamed of. I could squeeze you until you popped like warm champagne, and you would beg me to hurt you just a little bit more." had to make him have some new reactions/feelings toward Buffy. I'm even surprised he didn't have his "Oh god Buffy, I love you" sequence dream right after that.

Spike was in to Buffy from the moment they first met in season 2. He stalked her in the Bronze and was obsessed with trying to take her down. Even Dru knew Spike had a thing for her before he even realised it was one of the reasons they split up. Faith being in Buffy's body in season 4 just fuelled that obsession even more.

I was always wondering the same thing! I think he was attracted to her a long time ago, but hasn't really put it into words, or feelings. It wasn't love yet, just attraction. I think he even started fantasize about her at this point (meaning, before the spisode in season 5 where he slept with Harmony but really thinking of Buffy). I do agree that this scene made him even more obsessed with her, and really really want her in his bed.

As you see at the end of that scene, he gets mad and throws the bottle on the wall. Faith did press a button, and he was kinda ashamed of it. It's like up until now he couldn't admit to himself that he's attracted to a slayer. He was angry at HIMSELF in the ending of the scene, not at "Buffy". He was mad that he had feelings toward his enemy, and not just any enemy, a Slayer!

To be honest I think Spike was already attracted to buffy but he didn't realise that he had these feelings. So maybe Faith just fuelled his obsession even more

I agree... But I imagine what could have happened between Spike and Faith once he found out it was really her that said that to him in Season 7. 😉
