Is It Just Me Or Did It Never Rain In Sunnydale

I've have had multiple rewatches of Buffy and not once did I ever see it rain in Sunnydale. I've seen it snow and couple clouds. But never did it rain lol

I don't remember the episode much off-hand, but Superstar was filmed during a huge rainstorm in Los Angeles that lasted something like a week (the ending of Five by Five was filmed then, which was actually a huge stroke of luck), so check there.

Just off the top of my head, it rained in "Innocence" when Buffy and Angelus fought for the first time. I know it's not Sunnydale, but it rained on AtS all the time.

Oh, I also clearly remember an injured Buffy in very wet clothes being taken care of by Angel towards the end of 'Surprise'. 😱

Isn't the 'rain' during that fight actually the sprinkler system in the mall that has gone off after the Judge being blown up?

But when you mention Innocence... it definitely rains when Buffy and Giles are together in Giles car after Buffy's fight with Angelus.

Good call, you're absolutely right, it isn't rain. But good call on Buffy and Angel running from The Judge to Angel's apartment. The rain made that scene much...more...um...crap, "PG" board...better 😀

And absolutely, that was a great line from Giles.

I think that was because they filmed that in England. The rain part wasn't planned. I think.. I think they said they had to hurry some scenes or not use so many angles to beat the rain. ..and something about it was raining pretty good but most of it doesn't show up in the scene, lol.

In that part of California it rarely rains in real life, so it makes sense.

The only one I could think of off the top of my head was during the scene in "Surprise" where Angel loses his soul and becomes Angelus. You know, when he's laying in the alley.
