Or do Wes and Lilah really mirror season 6 Buffy and Spike?, Specifically in Habeas Corpses (thats the one right after apocalypse nowish). I was watching it last night and the scene where he breaks up with her, straight away made me think of As You Were, when Lilah was talking I could almost hear Spike saying "Ive memorized this tune love." Thoughts?

Well, I think you're right. They were both those kind of unhealthy relationships where sex was the center. Although with Buffy, Spike actually felt for her before, with Wesley and Lilah that came later.
Lilah is a woman and no woman can have 'just sex' even though she's a major cruel bitch. So when he's breaking up it really looks like Lilah is Spike, you're right. Because the four of them are aware that what they've been doing isn't right but they don't know how to get out of it. But Lilah and Spike maybe don't want to get out of it.

Buffy was using Spike because she was hating herself and maybe that goes for Wesley too. So, there are some similarities in those relationships.

hehe, no, its not just you 😀. obviously, there are differences, some mentioned above by untouched 🙂, but i never even thought about the similarities that exist between buffy/spike and wes/lilah until now. interesting stuff.

i think lilah/wes had the sadder ending, though. probably because she stayed a baddie 😛. i mean, spike gets a soul, buffy might end up loving him, he gets to die heroically in btvs, he gets to come back to life in ats, and there may be hope for spuffy in the future. with lilah and wes, however, he dumps her, he saves her, she is forced to live underground, they meet again, and she dies 🙁. i mean, they see each other that last time in 'home', but then its back to hell 🙁. hehe, just trying to throw out some of those requested thoughts 😛.
