Hello,
Only a month ago I started a thread called "Who is Lestat". I found out who he was and taking Foi's advice I read the book Interview with the vampire and plus saw the movie on Channel Five on Wednesday
I must say the book really is good I mean at the end when Lestat comes out of nowwhere you are just dying to know what will happen next.
And thanks to all of you who encouraged me to read this book coz it was a really good read
But what is queen of the damned about I remember Foi said it is mostly about the first blood drinkers and the tale of the body theif - exactly what it says with a few wrong experiments from lestat.
But apparently it is also about a queen reincarnated, someone tell me what it is about in more depth
Thanks
Charisma

hey sorry, well i think before you read qotd you should read "the vampire lestat" it comes before that one.
I dont' know what to tell you...i don't want to give the whole book away, but basically Lestat becomes a rock star and his music "wakes" the queen of the vampire, Akasha. there is alot more too it, but you should read it for yourself, i'll tell you more if you want.

I borrowed it from the college library, to see what it was like. It was alright but I dont like those kind of stories that take 5 pages in description to basically tell you the character just looked at his watch. (Maybe a slight hyperbole there but you know what I mean)

there may be some slow parts but i think qotd was one of the best books in the vampire series

Q of the D, takes place after the Vampire Lestat(btw: it's a series, first one is Interview, Vampire Lestat is the second(if I remember right, qotd starts where V.T. leaves off) then Queen, Tale of the Body Theif....and I can't remember the order from there) but I suggest reading the series in order, some things take place in the other books that they refer back too...but more so in the first few

I started reading Interview with a Vampire, but it was a little too boring for my taste.

Hey Thanks

Thanks for that that really cheered me up,and thanks to the guys who told me about the book and whats it's about.
I remember my friends were saying that the book was alot better than the film.
And I do not know how far this is true but the film has bits added into it, like Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Is that true?

qotd the movie has alot that was added and/or taken out. They tried to mix Vampire Lestat and QotD together and I feel the didn't do as good a job as they could have. I mean, Marius changing Lestat? That was all wrong, They left out the story of the Twins(which I could see kinda why, but that was an interesting point in the story) and they also left out Louis, who makes an appearance and actually is the one why tries to save Lestat, not Marius *pulls hair out* stupid hollywood producers....

They did a good job keeping to Interview, if I remember right
