Is she a diva?

I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, but I searched and found no such threads! So my question to you is, is Sarah a diva?

I have heard from more then one persons that she is a pretty big one. Her and her hubby both, actually. She treated Nick, Alison, Seth, etc. like dirt and the only one she connected with was David and blah blah blah.

But I'm not so sure if I agree, because if she treated Seth so bad, why would he agree to do a Scooby-doo 2?

Ofcourse, she's been a star since childhood, so it wouldn't be a big shock if she is

Anyways, so is Sarah a diva?

Considering the fact that her and Seth are extremely good friends, I think your sources may not be that reliable.

Sarah was actually close to Aly and Nick as well. Read their interviews. Sarah and Aly built up a good friendship since the start, and Sarah and Nick seemed to have been great friends at the beginning of Season Seven.

Now, they may be slightly angry at her for ending the show or telling a magazine first instead of them, considering Nick's comments on TRL and such. But who knows.

She was friends with David and Seth but everyone else she maintained a work only relationship. She is really confident so she intimidated the new directors a little. And on set during season 6 she complained about having to do the scenes so many times. But I don't think that makes her a diva. We all complain sometimes.
But besides that she has been known to buy stuff for the owners of the hotel she stays at and people say she's really nice.

Hmm, I don't know, I mean from all of the things that I've heard, she seems very nice. So, I guess no one except her, close friends, and family REALLY know her personality. But, I don't think she's one, personally, but it's not like I know her, so who knows.

I've heard so many different things about this. But like Drusilla'sEvil is saying it's probably only the ones really close to her that knows how she really is. What I think though is that her integrity is very important to her (isn't one of her tattoos the japanese sign for integrity?) which might in some situations make her seem like a diva in the eyes of others. That would be my guess from what I've seen from interviews, but I haven't met her at all so I may very well be wrong..

What did Nick say on TRL?

Its very well known that Sarah didnt maintain just a work only relationship with Aly,Nick,Michelle, and James. She was very much friends with them. Her and Aly used to go horse back riding and Nick always reffered to her like she was his sister, and we all know her and Michelles friendship.

And it was never comfirmed that she complained about doing so many scenes in Season6, she was used to it. Her and Joss just got into arguments over her charecter and her realtionship with Spike with SMG wanting to play a more S1-5 Buffy, not to mention she rather have Buffy with Angel rather than Spike.

Things between SMG and Aly only seemed to go rusty towards the end of the season with SMG telling the magazine before she told her fellow co-workers.

I don't think she's a Diva, maybe she is a little annoying sometimes, but who isn't?.

Not really. I forgot about Michelle. They are still friends but Aly and Sarah's relationship faded out really quick. There are pictures of them horseback riding around season 1 or 2. Did they go to each other's weddings? No.

Yeah it has been confirmed. I've seen the dailies.

Exactly. They were friends at the beginning but not so much in the later years.

they went horseback riding in Season3, there are even pics of them doing a fun photoshoot behind the scenes for one episode.

And SMG didnt invite anyone from the show to her wedding, doesnt mean she isnt friends with any of them.

I think that she is just intimidating, and that is what people base their opinions off of.
Intimidating in the fact that she's been acting since she was 4, right? So, she's got a lot of background, and everything you hear is how she's always in control and professional, and that could potentially make people view her as snobby.

I think that because of her work ethic/style that people perceive her as a diva.

But I believe that she really isn't. From things that I've read about her, and seen from her off the Buffy set... she seems like a brilliant, polite, extremely powerful and gracious woman.

Did anybody read about how she worked with people who lost their homes in the fires from last summer, or was selling the scarves for breast cancer awareness. I think that she is so focused on doing good, that she can't possible be a diva.

I agree with SpikedBuffy on this one.

I think that Sarah is really gracious and down to Earth. Perhaps because she is so busy and engrosses herself in her work that she doesn't socialize very much with those around her on the job, and she therefore comes off as snobby.

From things ive heard, she seems to be a diva. even interviews ive seen with joss seems to give that impression.

I don't think she seems like a diva at all. She seems very down to earth and nice. And wouldn't it be hard to do so many seasons of Buffy if the cast weren't friends? I believe that the most of what you hear about her is just gossip.

Aren't all actresses divas deep down? They do hold some sort of power, because they are in that famous role as an actress. I believe that all actresses (and everyone else for that matter) have a little diva in them. We all like to stretch our limits and see how much our power can extend.

In response to SMG not inviting cast members to her wedding. A wedding is a major, intimate event that should only involve family. Many people try to invite friends to make the wedding seem much more jubilant or receive gifts. It should basically be based around the families.

You said it SO well...good job!
well, I know she was good friends with Michelle and James. don't know about the others...

Agree with Mike.
But also pointing out you have to be a singer to be a diva.
But Sarah may think she'll all that and a bag of chips because with out her there was no show. And she may think she's a hot shot in the buzz now but she's not. She hasn't done that much in the movies, she's mainly been tv.

I imagine she's a diva to an extent. I mean, she's been on TV since her burger king commercial! I can't imagine somebody being on TV that long and not developing a level of diva-ossity (woo! New word!) But I don't see her as the wicked witch of Hollywood. She's clearly one of the better actresses out there.

Going a bit off topic, but what about her and David? Are they still friends?

Yes well just look at all of the stuff she does for her fans, and then call her a diva. I mean there's a post in here from the set of her new movie, and she spent all kinds of time (during a busy filming schedule no less) with a fan who wanted to meet her through the Make A Wish foundation.

I'm not sure about the diva thing but about her relationship with the cast. She was friends with Alison and Nick but as the seventh season neared their friendship got a little strained. On an interview Ali was talking about how Sarah started to cut ties with the show and them. The tension between Sarah and the cast in season season was only partly acting.
