Joss Whedon is already thinking about bringing the Terminator star to his miraculously renewed show.
Summer Glau keepin' it in the Whedonverse.

Joss Whedon fans--put some duct tape around your head because it's about to explode. Whedon's Fox drama Dollhouse heads into its second season next fall and it may have a familiar face: Summer Glau.

The possibility of Glau moving into the Dollhouse is certainly no stretch, as Whedon and Glau are practically BFFs. They previously worked together on Firefly and Serenity, and have never masked their affection for each other. And with Teminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles given the axe, Glau's schedule is open.

Whedon tells EW.com: "If anybody thinks [adding Glau to Dollhouse] hasn't occurred to me already then they have not met me. I mentioned it to her before [Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles] was cancelled."

But Whedon doesn't want to cast Glau as one of Dollhouse's Actives--emotion-free playthings that are imprinted with personalities and skills and hired out to the rich. He wants to cast her in a new role--"someone who talks too much." Let's face it, between her roles as Cameron (a robotic Terminator) and River Tam (an emotionally screwy child prodigy), Glau has played her share of introverted characters, and it would be nice to see her flash that smile a little more often.

"Summer said to me, 'I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age'", Whedon told EW.

Eliza Dushku and Summer Glau in the same show? The Fox marketing team is already buzzing.

I don't know why, but I thought this might happen, it just kinda makes sense. I though she would be perfect Doll (I though they might make her the new November)

Im not sure if he's joking or not about casting her as something different, but I think it would be even better as someone who can't stop talking, that would be cool!

I've never seen summer in a role and not liked her, I really hope this happens!

I reeeaally hope they don't have her as a Doll. They have more than enough Dolls already. Let's get some more actual characters.

Well, Mellie is gone now as far as we know, so if she doesn't come back to the Dollhouse, I guess they'll have to get another doll.

I agree, I'm kind of sick of everyone and their dog being a fugging doll.

Although Summer being the new November...I think I'd be down with that idea.

That still leaves five other major characters (Echo, Sierra, Victor, Alpha, Dr. Saunders) who are Dolls though. I mean, there's only so many dolls the show needs to prominently feature. What can one doll bring to the table that a current one already can't?

I love Summer Glau, but I dont think the show is right for her.

I am sooooooo bummed Terminator:TSCC got cancelled 🙁

They look so similar, Summer could play Eliza's sister.

ROTFLMAO! Crikey, that's funny!

I think Summer would be a hilarious character as a smiley, fast-talking, chatterbox.

It would be awesome to see Summer in Dollhouse. I think she is possibly the most gorgeous woman alive.
I think seeing Summer Glau, Amy Acker and Eliza Dushku together is my ultimate fantasy!

I'm excited to see her whatever type of role she gets in the show. At first I wanted her to be a doll when I mused about it all throughout season one. But, the more I think on it, I would like to see her in a more introverted role. But yeah, excited. 🙂

Thanks for the info. I just hope she won't be a doll. I want to see her as more lively character. No more robotic or ballerina-ish, please. 😀 Summer Glau is awesome!
