Is there a satan in the Buffyverse?

People have already debated the existence of God, but what about the devil?

There's "evil" and "demons" and "hell" but what about satan? You'd think that if he existed in Buffy, there'd be some sort of mention of him.

The Buffyverse stays away from judeo-christian concepts for the most part.

I think The First Evil may qualify as the Buffyverse's version?

I would agree with that. Satan is suppposed to be the first to sin and in tern 'talked' Adam and Eve into eating the fruit.

You could draw a lot of correlations between what we know of The First and Satan.

I seem to remember reading a rumor at the beginning of the season that said Satan was going to be the Big Bad this season. This would make that rumor true.
