Is there any particular phrase that you overuse in real life and/or on the internet?

I say "haha" all the time on the internet! It's crazy. 90% of the time I am not laughing while I type! Hahah ugh it's like a disease. I do smile a lot as I type so maybe that's why.

Is there any word or phrase that you "say" all the time when you type or even in "real life"? I say "totes" irl so damn often it's nauseating. I like to shorten words. I also say "adorbs" and I'm fond of adding "sch" to the beginning of words. For example: "schmalentines day", "schnookums", "schmwell" (as in well)...yeah. Sometimes I talk to myself that way. I'll add "sch" to every word.

Yes. I am odd.

Sooo the question is, what words or phrases do you guys overuse?

I don't think I do it online but in real life I overuse "basically" and "like" way too much.

Like is like the bane of my existence. And once someone points it out you can't stop hearing it and then you realise how much you rely on like and it's hard to say a sentence without it 😛

Online I use the 😛 smiley too much, if that counts. And probably LOL and haha too.

I also say "whey" a lot. Like (LIKE) not really as a word more as a noise. Like (aDIJASLFHSAFLKS LIKE) if someone does something I'll be like ( 🙁 ) "wheeeeyy what was that?" or "wheeeey well done!"

And probably others that I haven't really noticed myself 😛

Online I'm guilty of typing "haha" also. I don't know I love it.

In real life I say "dangiiin" way too much! lol I also randomly say spanish words. Salvadorian words at times (my parents are from there).

In the real world I call everyone dude and use the F-bomb way too much. Also, being British, I say 'bollocks' a lot.

Online I overuse smilies horrendously 😉

I use words like 'tis and 'twas a lot online, I like them better than the modern day counterparts.

I also use fillers like 'like' and 'apparently' a fair bit irl.

when I'm on here I have to really work hard on not writing 'like' in every sentence but I still use that word a lot and I hate it.

When I was in fifth grade I used to say "so?" whenever someone said anything to me, not in Swedish, I said "so?" lol, and it drove people crazy.... Now I say the f-word a lot, but I'm trying not to cos when you say it here it just sounds stupid...

I tend to overuse "lol" and any "ly" ending word (Basically, technically, totally, entirely, etc.)... And smilies!!!! I so overuse smilies XD

Haha ugh. You have no idea...I have gone back and deleted like (grr) five "I mean"s out of just about every single post that I have made on here. Whenever I'm discussing my opinion on an episode or character I just say it so often. I also feel as if (I try to replace "like" as often as I can! 😉) "like" looks kind of dumb when I use it on here as often as I do irl. My original posts are filled with about 10 "likes" probably, before I edit them.

I'm going to go read the dictionary.

I go through phases with phrases. (haha) and I tend to pick some up from other people without even really realizing that I'm doing it. "meh" "fool" being recent ones. 🙂 I used to say "right on" a lot but I don't think I do that so much anymore. I guess that got supplanted by "word" haha

Sometimes, I notice how many times I say 'like' & 'I mean' and even 'you know?' when I hear myself on J4 BB radio. I realize I've said it so much. I feel silly or stupid.
