Is There Gonna Be a Buffy Cartoon!?

I recall Joss Whedon being in talks about a Buffy animated series back in '99 or so... I thought the project was dead. 20th Century Fox also wanted Whedon to work on a Dracula animated film, before they closed their animation department.

Hate to be the pessimist, but don't get your hopes up, people. Promotional artwork exists for all kind of animated series that never got off the ground. Hell, you can find animation cels for the Captain America series that was supposed to air on Fox in '98 or so, and that never even premiered.

They made a couple episodes, but Joss says they're not gonna air.
 
In my opinion, the artist who drew those can't really draw high-heeled shoes very well. Buffy and Cordelia have got big weirdo feet.
 
I know where to get those buffy cartoon pics, they cartoon was suppose to happen but none of the networks wanted to give them the money Joss wanted to make it cause he wants it to be like the new batman series that htey made after the old cartoon and those cost alot but who knows one day a network might want it
 
The official news is NO! From what I read it was going to be a "lighter" Buffy from the actual show. The guy who drew the pics is a man named Eric Wight. He has a web-sight and here is the link:

Pretty cool pics!! Like the Batman show....Personally I cannot wait for the "Star Wars: Clone Wars" cartoon.

But, alas no "Buffy" cartoon......'cause that would be cool.

But, those Buffy cells have to be hot if they ever hit the market!!!

And I really like the designs for Giles and the Library! Cordy's hot too!

And the Charlies Angels!!---wow! Schwing!

Wow, completely forgot about that being an idea...

I'm kind of bummed that they are not going to do an animation show, but hey, maybe one day, right?

I hope they put out the few cartoons they did make as an Easter Egg or something like that on one of the DVD sets.
 
well they might in the future but its a shame that TNT will buy a cartoon called Striperlla and pay the money to produce it but fox wont shove out the money to produce Buffy the way Joss wants it
 
I actually heard a rumor on some other boards that the episodes that were made will be on DVD in november round the time Season 5 comes out, but don't take that as truth. All I'm saying is that they need to have animated Andrew, that would rock.
