Is your best friend a Slayer?

I'd be like O.O for one thing lol then I'd ask for proof, followed by a nice patrol. ^-^ hehe Then maybe she could teach me some of those nice fighting moves I've been wanting to learn forever. 😀

This would definitely present a problem for me. I wouldn't want to be a Scooby, but I'd support them as much as I could without getting my arse kicked or killed.

I could see my friend Sam being a Slayer. She's tiny, blonde, and adorable. It would be shocking, but I would feel safer about moving up to Phoenix with her. And I'd be the cute Wiccan best friend.

I like your answer. Although not every slayer is a tiny blonde :)
"Why the hell didn't you tell me?!!? Since when?? Is your watcher awesome? Have you bought a weapon's chest yet, because that needs to happen. WAIT, I DON'T KNOW IF THIS MAKES OUR TATTOOS LAME OR EVEN MORE AWESOME. CRAP."

(My best friend and I happen to have matching BtVS tattoos, so that'd be funny.)

You really wouldn't want to be a scooby??? There's no way I could hold my self back from gettin in on the action!!!

Honestly, I would be jealous!!! Then I'd be like sweet....can I have Spike if you don't want him????! lol😀

Feel sorry for the world cos' it's screwed. My bud is built like a brick sh*thouse but is afraid of just about everything. He has also set himself on fire, punched himself in the face, and fell out a window, so yeah the world would certainly be doomed.

Best friend: I'm a Slayer.
Me: Uh huh *shakes her pill bottle* Y'know you're supposed to take these.
BFF: No no really I am! *slays random vampire in front of me*
Me: Huh.

Yeah, being absolutely honest, I'd hate that lifestyle. I like the friendships represented on the show and I love watching the show as a form of escapism but dear God, I'd hate to fight against demons and vampires.

I certainly wouldn't be jealous, in fact, I'd probably pity them.

I would NOT believe her, unless she proved it to me. 😉 And then I'd probably faint.

😛 But once the initial shock wore off, I'd want to get involved! Learn some techniques, help her out, find out when Hogwarts will become a real school as well...

It would be dangerous, but I'm sure it would also be rewarding. 🙂

The girl who was my best friend through secondary school and high school did become a slayer, of the "Normal Again" variety. She spent the best part of our twenties battling the monsters in her mind, fighting depression, schizophrenia or whatever it is that her brain is malfunction with. The psychiatrist seem to have a hard time agreeing on a diagnosis.

If I swap our high school for Sunnydale High, though, imagining the youngsters we were in that setting, I can easily see her as the secret slayer and me as her slayerette and sidekick. She had such an amazing presence, was strong, intelligent, pretty ... all the things I wanted to be. As a sixteen-year-old, I wanted nothing more strongly than I wanted to matter, so I can see myself jumping into the fray with her, even if the battle wasn't mine, even if my heart wasn't truly in it, because it would make me feel like I mattered. Borrowed, secret glory would feel better than no glory.

Hmmm. It really depends on which of my friends turned out to be the Slayer. If it was Krystle, I wouldn't believe her- she's the prankster and tends to say things like that as jokes, so I couldn't really see myself falling for it. If it were Jenny, I'd be like, "COOL! I wanna help! Can I be the witch of the group? Huh? Huh? Please!!!!!" And if it were Lindsey... I'd be a hell of a lot nicer to her than I am, she'd probably use her Slayerocity as a threat.

Depending on which best friend we're talking about...let's just say it's my friend "Anne" (her middle name, just a coincidence that that's buffy's, too). I would be terrified (would be for any of my besties) but I honestly don't think she could handle it. She is one of those people that has to talk about her problems...she wouldn't be able to handle the secret for long (not that that matters with her close friends) but it would be too much for her, I think. She wouldn't be able to talk about it with her therapist which is something she really needs....she also hates being alone a lot...she couldn't handle it...but maybe she could rise to the occasion and be a great slayer...
