Isn't Buffy supposed to be a vampire?

Isn't Buffy supposed to be a vampire because Dracula fed off of Buffy and Buffy fed off of Dracula? To me that doesn't make sense.
 
He never fed off her enough. He said that in the episode. She had to be nearly dead to become a vampire.
 
Buffy asks in the episode 'If I drink that...?'
to which Dracula replied 'I have not taken enough'
or something to that effect. according to the Buffyverse, a human has to be virtually dead for them to actually be turned.
 
hehe i have acually thought about that but after watching the ep again i can see you guys are right!:silly:
 
yeah for a vampire to turn the human into a vampire the human must be nearly dead for the human then to be sired into a vampire right? well thats basically what you guys have all said.. you must be near dead for the whole sire thing to work.. and of course Buffy isnt meant to be a vampire.. shes the vampire slayer 😀 he he
 
I think that it would have been cool to see a Slayer be turned into a Vampire. It would be a really cool storyline. One thing's for sure, she'd be one powerful Vampire, lol.

that's actually the storyline for one of the BtVS novels.
 
It's also the storyline from one of the Buffy-boards, Tales of the Slayers fanfic stories. This one - Ansara
 
Yeah they make mention in other episodes that when they're feel the heart slow and almost die, stop. something to that effect, but that might have been Darla explaining it in Angel
