isn't it rather exciting?

As odd and out of character the season eight comics can sometimes be, I find it very exciting to hear people talking about speculations as to what will happen next with our characters and storylines just like back when the show was on air. It's so awesome, I feel like the show is actually back. It's just great!

Side Note that I wasn't here when the show was on air, I only joined in 2006. But I was a part of other Buffy communities and stuff, and It just brings me back..anyone else?

Side Note #2. Although I'm very excited for
Harmony
to be in the upcoming issue(s), we REALLY REALLY need Anya in season eight. Nobody has really any humor. :cheering:

completely agree
You're right! It's nice and exciting to have people talking and speculating again. And I agee there isn't a whole lot of humor type deals in these comics. I mean there are flashes like when Buffy attacks that demon with the cross and he calls her foolish because he's not a vampire and he doesn't fear the cross, so she stabs him through the head with it and goes "Might wanna start." or when Buffy and Willow visit that demon lair and it's like just this cottage looking thing and Buffy says "Are you sure this is it? It's not the guest lair or something?" ****Please note that my quotes are probably more accurately described as paraphrased***

But I totally get what you're saying

I think a challenge as a writer with a comic book is trying to make those lines believable to the characters. Us also having the TV shows we understand how Buffy and friend talk and interact so it's a different thing completely from seeing it acted act to reading it. It's the same thing with humor I might be Joss was wanted a darker tone with Buffy like he did with Angel and that something that might be hilarious being said might be stale on paper.
