I think it's obvious that it's Andrew...Although there is a strange Edward Cullen thing over him...Must be the hair
 
Maybe Andrew has a new fandom? He went to see Twilight and thought "Their portrayal of the Vampyr is off, but damn, that is one sparkly hot sucker!"

Well, it looks like Dawn is back to her normal human self by then. Hopefully, she's learned her lesson about fooling around on jealous thricewises. (Has it occurred to anyone else that her choice in boyfriends runs a close second to Xander's in being attracted to people or things with some sort of supernatural tenancies? maybe they really were made for each other.)

And does it look like Andrew is armed with Joyce's fire axe here?

Wow, Jo Chen is absolutely amazing!! I Love her stuff more than Andrew Crossettes stuff it must be said...I think she captured Oz and Buffy perfectly...not entirely sure about Willow though...

I think this is my second favourite cover...a close second just behind..Time of your Life part 4..the cover of Dark Willow..

Both covers are great - and I'm soo looking forward to the gang all being reunited (not that that will neccessarily happen - covers sometime have no relevance). Andrew does look very good looking on Jo's cover. If I were Tom I'd be very pleased.

I think all of the characters are spot on. Tom's not a bad looking guy (Joss said he doesn't really hire unattractive actors).

Unlike most every other show out there, it seemed that Buffy aimed to capture the character's look more than trying to make the actors as good looking as possible. I think Amber Benson's a good example of that, she looked pretty on Buffy, but in an ordinary way, but I've seen pics of her in real life and she is really gorgeous. It's similar with Alyson Hannigan, she played a mediocre looking girl on Buffy, but you can see that with the proper makeup she's really pretty (HIMYM, Date Movie).

Back to the cover, that stands out to me as the most impressive so far. It looks like a quality painting. I'm trying to decide if it's better than After the Fall #16 though:

True, like I said, Buffy was one of the few shows that tried to capture the character's look rather than trying to maximize the actors' attractiveness. Willow at her prettiest still wasn't as attractive as Alyson can be, same with Tara/Amber. And I think that they intentionally tried to make Robia (Jenny Calendar) and Tony (Giles) look older than they appear in real life, since Robia's the exact same age as Charisma (Cordy) and Tony's only slightly older than Marsters (Spike).

While I must agree to your statement that she's prettier on the lower photos (at least the one to the left... why, why WHY did they change Lily's haircolor in HIMYM? :bawling: ), that's not by a far cry the contrast of "mediocre => pretty", it's more like "very beautiful => stunningly awesome". 😉
 
Okay love the covers are awesome but is everyone else simply excited that Oz is finally back??? I know I am! Also the alternate covers I think has Faith and Giles and Buffy and simply everyone fighting together which is so awesome, everything in the season has them all torn apart and their relationships aren't clear I'm just so excited!

Yep, it's for issue 26.

And a season 9 has been confirmed. When it will be published is unspecified.

I love her red hair, myself, but Alyson went brunette during a summer hiatus while on vacation in England, and decided to keep it. The picture in the bottom right is close to her natural color.
