Monster alligator stuns golfers by casually strolling across course

Golfers in Palmetto, Florida, could be forgiven for thinking they had stumbled off the course and into Jurassic Park at the weekend.

While playing a typical Sunday game at Buffalo Creek Golf Course, Charles Helms was able to get a video of a monster alligator casually strolling across the course.

The dinosaur-like gator looked even bigger when another man came into the frame to take a picture - but apparently he is quite a regular sight in the area.

I was obsessed with alligator sightings when we went to Florida a few years back. I saw one by the side of the road on the way to the Kennedy Space Centre. It was a fleeting moment, but I still pooped myself.

That bad boy is enough to make me refuse to go back to the Sunshine State for life!

Crocodiles can grow to 5.3 metres, and if someone takes a bad photograph, like that one, it will appear bigger.
Tips for the golfer:
Even if you shout fore don't expect it to get out of the way.

And you know you are pushing your luck when:
you poke the Alligator and tell it to move its foot, "You're standing on my ball."

I thought Alligators were the cuddly ones? Isnt it crocodiles that death roll and nom ya?

Alligators do a death roll too. A few reptiles do it actually.

"death roll and nom ya", best today! lol
It's the tails, innit. The tails look almost as big and thick, if not bigger, than the body. Weird big old dinosaurs.

Ooh, almost thought someone took film of me at the beach... just flopping down on the ground like 'can't even' and just lying there in the sun.

Anyway, that thing really makes me wish someone would go "it's just a hoax, just three guys in a gator-suit!"

Apparently he lives there and is a regular on the course. What with all of this attention I'm sure some knucklehead will muck it up and get bit/killed trying to take a selfie with the beast and he have to be put down. Maybe I'm just cynical.
