I really enjoy it here discussing Whedon stuff. Because I've enjoyed it here I decided to give Goodreads a go to discuss books I've been reading.
Wow. People can get emotional. Never encountered so much italics, caps, and exclamation points.
I'm about as chilled as they come when debating. If people disagree with me I'm just "Hey, that's cool. I think this, you think that. All good." On Goodreads people have been flipping out over cover designs, getting all life & death over character motivations, and just recently getting aggressive over an author supporting casting decisions they disagree with (eg. "He's not Asian enough or pale enough!!" Like finding an Asian actor who's pale as milk is an easy task).
So I'm pretty disappointed. Some threads get us disagreeing on here but we keep it friendly and we keep our cool (well, most of the time...) I mean, we can't agree on everything - where's the fun in that 😉 But mostly we respect each other.

I just want to thank all of you for making Buffy Boards such a great place to hang out.

I should add that finding ANY actor for that role (of Jem Carstairs) who hasn't got serious FX makeup would be hard. He's suppose to be "translucent"
Anyway, now I'm paranoid about starting this same casting debate here too!

Yer I also love this place 😀 Keeps me sane and without it I'd not have gotten into fanart and met some wonderful people and made some good friends. So yes thanks BB 😀

Honestly I think this place has the right ammount of passion, differing views and intelligent conversation to keep most peoples attention.

I've had lots of friendly chats here, a few interesting discusions about characters and one or two bruising arguments about ships but overall this board is great.

It adds to my enjoyment/appreciation of the show- with all the passion and enthusiasm on display. 🙂

Agreed with [MENTION=12614]thetopher[/MENTION]. We got a good balance here 🙂 And not too brag but I do think we have the best fandom out there 😉 BB is awesome!
