For me it's the NEWS! The nightly news broadcasts from the big three! Editorial entertainment at it's best!

They couldn't spin the truth any more if they put in a blender.

News has gotten so bad over the years that I think the only choice one has is to be either uninformed, or MISinformed (by keeping up with the trash that has the audacity to call itself news).

Problem with the news is we never know if what they're saying is ACTUALLY true.
The ads on the nightly news, which tend to air nightly for at least a month. Even if I liked the ad to start with, I'm sick to death of it after a week. On this subject, why do they show the same ad every 15 minutes in an hour-long show? Do they not think we're watching the whole show?

Because it's usually the older people who watch the news at that time and they know know we forget easily......oh wait...what were we talking about????!!!!

Agreed!

Also, promoting a show like two months in advance, a constant bombardment of repeated ads every five minutes. Guess what? That makes me NOT want to watch whatever stupid series you're trying to push.

One of the best purchases I made many years ago was a DVR. If I record a program I can fast forward through all the ads.

Agreed! I have hated many a show before it even aired because of relentless promo ads.
I don't watch the news anymore. In my own thought process, every headline should be prefaced with "someone is desperate to have you believe" just like someone is desperate to have you believe that air strikes on a Venezuelan boat in the open water were to control the influx of drugs to America. If you want to stop a ship and board it for inspection, even that is excessive because boats have the right to use the open water just like anyone else. But deciding that boats can be attacked from the air with no provocation is criminal.
