If she grew up with Buffy why have I never even heard her name before? I know I'm just on her second episode, but this really feels like lazy writing. Couldn't they have at least mentioned her before?

Isn't Faith always up for it? As Willow says "she's do that girl." I actually like Dawn okay so far. She seems like a cool kid, I just wonder why she was never mentioned before.

Yeah you definitely need to keep watching... I started watching season 5 after missing a few episodes and had no clue who this dawn girl was... took me a while to figure it out

I never understood that quote... how would she have "grown up knowing the rules" if Buffy didn't find out she was a slayer until she was 15 and her mom didn't even find out until her Junior year???

I've since figured out the whole Dawn thing, but you do raise a good point. Buffy didn't even grow up knowing the rules.

But I think [MENTION=12094]whitewolf[/MENTION] is totally right. Even if you didn't watch so far. 😉I think they/the writers knew about her new character. I think they knew that she will surprise the fans. So why don't hide some tips in the end of season 4? Or at least some hides in the final episode? That would prepared me more for Dawn. Maybe she wouldn't be such a hated character then? (I love her 😉)

Its awesome to see someone's confusion when start this season. I remember watching this with my Wife, and she kept looking at me, waiting for me to explain. I just acted as if it was normal.
