It's Snowing!

Yeah, now we got some real snow here too. Damn it!

Noooo, yay for the snow, love the snow... snooooooow <3 :P
This is the first day that the temperatures have been (and will be) below freezing for the whole day but there was only a trace of snow that did not remain on roads or lawns.
 
As for the snow effect here on the Boards, once I realized that, no, my laptop wasn't screwed up again, it was pretty cool.

As for the actual weather in my part of the country, the temperature for weeks has been in the 70's and we've had record breaking rain and flooding (our three rivers, that were the inspiration for naming our city for "that other" Rome have long sense overflowed their banks) Fortunately, I live on one of our seven hills, so a flooded basement isn't any sort of problem for me, but it's verging on disaster status for some county residents. Even at that, however, our problems fade to insignificance when compared to other places in the South, like Texas.
 
We finally got some sleet last night and all of today will be above freezing, so »I have shovelled some of the heaviest snow ever in terms of density. There is only a little more than an inch on the ground but it is not the light, fluffy stuff - it is heavy like water but you can pile it up on the shovel. Winter is here.
 
I just saw how you could have the snow be yellow!! That's too funny. Yellow snow.
 
To my knowledge, the last snowfall here at the Hellmouth was around half a century ago, before my lifetime, and that was the same kind of phenomenon as in 'Amends'.
It's essentially impossible for it to get both cold AND wet enough at the same time in this area though this fall/winter it's nailed the temperature part. It's been dropping to the 30's late at night.
I've only but once in my life seen leftover slush in person on a trip to Lake Tahoe.
